Here's another variation on the same theme as earlier in the month.. I had a thank you card to make for an invite to a ruby wedding celebration that we went to last night..so I stuck with a tried and tested idea!
And although it doesn't have any bearing on the challenge... Here is the card I made for the celebration itself.
These are both just gorgeous Elaine! I love the composition of your flowers especially on the Thank You card, they are so perfectly arranged. Fabulous shade of red too!
Here's one that sort of fits the challenge only not quite colour wise. But it does have a butterfly and the watercolour background in the image is lovely and I used watercolour pens to colour the flourishes - so hey ho, not cheating really.

Like all the cards ladies. The flowers are lovely Elaine, and
the kitten is cute Susie. Really like that pale blue colour.

Beautiful pussy cat card Susie..such a kind thought too..it's heartbreaking losing a beloved pet and this will no doubt make them realise people do care.
Thanks for your comments on my cards. The flowers are from Poundland! I bought them a couple of Chritmasses ago..I will have to keep an eye out to see if they get them in again..they are so useful.
Thanks for your kind comments ladies, I thought that was a sweet image, the way the little cat is sleeping on a cloud with all the stars around. I didn't want to make it too sad which is why I thought I'd make a more colourful card than I normally would.
Items such as your flowers Elaine are the sort of thing you wish you'd bought more of at the time aren't they! Maybe they will get them back in again.
I do hope so..I had them in bottle green..white and red..and I only have the bottle green ones left.
These are just great! :D
I had high hopes to do some crafting this weekend, but sadly other stuff cropped up and before I knew it, here we are 6 p.m. on Sunday evening and I am feeling ready for bed! lol There's still time but we shall see!
Not to worry Nat. Hope you had a good nights sleep.
Here's another card. I don't seem to be able to make
Christmas cards only at Christmas
Ellie
Gorgeous card Ellie, I love the way you've used the peacock. Was that a free die with a magazine by any chance?
Thanks Susie. Yup, you Sussed it out, it was a free die.
I cut it out of pp and then used spritsing ink on it. This gives
it a lovely shimmer. I went over the embossing with an ink pad,
but I'm not very good at this technique. Always get some where it
shouldn't be.
Ellie.
Ellie love the embossed background with the colour on Beautiful
Thank you for that bramblepie, although as I said earlier,
I'm not too confident at inking embossed things.,
So might try and do it again.
Ellie.
The inking looks perfect to me Ellie. I love the flowers too, such a lovely colour combo.
I have suddenly started heat embossing but I don't have much in the way of colours. I especially like heat embossing my die cuts. Does anyone know which are the best heat embossing powders to buy, if that's what they're called? I have a few Christmas colours which I've had for years and were a freebie with a set of something I bought, can't even remember what now.
I seem to be playing with different techniques at the moment rather than actually making anything and I really need to get on with this scrapbook I'm 'supposed' to be making.
