Made a 60th birthday topper for a card and thought I would post it in case it is useful to anyone else. The file also contains the happy birthday words. Font is Black Rose.
Well, I decided to be brave & share my first proper template made from scratch.
I needed a 20 card for my niece & didn't see one in the templates, so decided to have a go.
It's nothing earth shattering - but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Thanks go to Lucille for the tutorial on welding in RM5.1 as the middle of my numbers kept disappearing; and I'd especially like to thank Chrissie (Rugersmum) for the video on her website as I've discovered I'm definitely a "visual" learner & the tracing video on her website was the main thing that finally made the light bulb in my brain switch on!! :thanks: (I'm looking forward to seeing more Chrissie!!!)
Karen
Laney it's an old file so Don't know or can't remember how it cuts
Hope it helps you :D
Made this for DS who will reach the dreaded 40 next month. Very simply done in DM - the font is Challenge Bold. Those who saw this in my gallery will be pleased to see I have removed the bow as I know he definitely would not appreciate it, but left the grosgrain ribbon (just can't help myself!). I did allow myself to do a bit of cuttlebugging, but only the swiss dots.

Just finished this card for a dear friend after dithering about over it for ages. I've used some sheer ribbon and jollied it up with some beads and cuttlebugging as usual. The font is Fontleroy Brown. I've used a polygon lattice that I've been working on, although I have to say it's not in the same league as Monica's!! If anyone would like the polygon lattice I will gladly put the template on.
Here is a 90 card :)
Hi Nay.
What a lovely story. :)
Done this for you, hope its the sort of thing you were looking for. Font is Cooper Black.
p.s. edited to replace GSD as I just noticed a major flaw, it should be ok now - sorry!
Hi
I think I may be getting the hang of my Craft Robo at last. I made this card using a tutorial by 2 Magpies & Lucille. I made it in Inkscape and saved it as an SVG & DFX (converted to GSD - I hope)
Just going to have a go at putting a screen shot on too so here goes
Thank you to 2 Magpies & Lucille for the tutorial.
I used craft robo for cutting out the card, 65th & Birthday. Decorated by a piece of decoupage and home printed backing paper.

Just made this one. Not cut but should be fine.
Made in 2.4 so everyone can share.

I've added the SVG foranyone else who can use it
This is for anyone who wants to download it, but Cazcardiff in particular was asking for a 90 Card with a full back.
Not sure if this is what you wanted.
Font used: BalloonistSF
In the chat section Bon Bon was asking for help with a 70 card.
Hope this is what you wanted Bon Bon, you could cut the 70 out twice and stick them back to back with a little thread in between them and then sticking to the inside of the card above the oval, this way it will swing.
Font = Harrington. :)
Dunno if this one be any use for you Tina, all resizeable etc
Sandi
Haz was asking for help with one in the chat thread, so thought I'd pop this in here.
Hope that helps:)
I've been having a play with 80 as well, did both the stencil cut card and a topper with a mat. Sorry if pink makes you sick, the colour isn't compulsory.
I've used 2 different fonts for this rectangular lattice file. I was playing after all the topper has a plain mat if required.
I needed to make a quick 40th birthday card, so came up with this. Very basic but I'm still learning:lol: It might be useful for someone for a quickie card. I've only made it as a topper because I used a pre made card blank. The flowers are cut out using a free font.
Does anyone need a 40th card for a golf nut?
Here it is...
we have been married 45 yers this september.i made this card for my hubby.i hope you like it.
like this??
or this
on a theme
More like on a roll, got a feeling I might be aswell
Here is my first file, using the font CreamPuff which I discovered yesterday, it has been nudged about a bit, so not seen as it would type.
CreamPuff font again only on a small platform.
Here's a card and a topper from me.
The font on the topper is cream puff (another for my collection thank you Lucille)
The font on the card is Balloon XBD BT, you can download it here if you need it
here is my offering very very similar to my 5th birthday card.
Font is Sistemas from Dafont the 25th is VAGRounded which was on my PC
Here's my attempt.

How about this one? My jpg shows the entire card...........but it folds down in the middle!
haven't cut it, could be tidier I think - but here's my try with some extra letters for decoupage. Hope I've uploaded them ok.
Hope someone can use..............I haven't cut but I don't suppose any problems will arise... Font is FANCY PANTS
I've made one using Holmesmade's pop up instructions, had to use them because it's been so long I had forgotten how to do it
There are 2 versions of the sentiment; 1 can be cut as a peel off and the other can be used for a stencil cut.
Fonts used are "Creampuff" and "Sistemas" thank you Grace for that one, another to the collection.
Lovely cards Sara, Tina and Lucille, we'll have lots to choose from now:thanks:
Another one from me before the challenge ends
The file includes mats for the numbers in case anyone wants to back them in mirri card or just use them as solid overlays to emphasise the numbers welded to the card and an smaller 'th' but I'm not sure that will cut well in all types of media, but it's there if you want it.
Don't forget to select all if you want to resize and I haven't done the cut settings.
OK here is version 1 of using playing cards for making a card. No tracing but I did download a fonts called "Hoyle Playing Cards" for the numbers and the bonus was it also had the different suits and if you want them the face cards, you gotta love Google B)
I personally think it would work better as a print and cut, because cutting those numbers and hearts and placing them would be a REAL labour of love, bit like stuffing mushrooms
There are 2 way you can do it as a print and cut - 1) print the cards as they are and use them like a topper or 2) match up the cards to the shaped front of the card, send it to print and then cut in 1 piece.
My oldest granddaughter will be 21 next month (how time flies) I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to get this right - it was the popup insert that caused the most bother but I am quite pleased with the end result and I know she will like it!
Twenty one, twenty first
My nephew has a big birthday next month so I have designed this steam punk card for him - men are always so difficult! I quite enjoyed fashioning the cogs and wheels. I have put a pic of the finished card on the template to assist with the placing of the cogs and I've also done a pop up "40" insert. The backing paper on the insert is one by Cattiegrace - thank you very much Grace! Hopefully it may be of some use.
forty fortieth
Here's the file modified for 50 Gilly!
fifty fiftieth
Here's a couple files from me if they're any use. So you know which is which the one on the left is cooper black. You may need to resize it/them
Eighty Eightieth
Plain & simple but I hope someone else will find it useful. The finished card size is A5 landscape.
Helen
PS More details of the finished card are on my blog if you're interested.
