That's a lovely card Susie. I love all white cards.
I didn't cut those pieces myself as I bought them on ebay ready cut.
Thanks so much for the lovely comments and for the replies too.
I didn't even know you could buy stuff like that on e-bay Barb. I'm sure other card makers would cut some dies for you to save you buying them, I know I would.
Silver Tiger, I might try a shim just at each end because they're the only parts I have trouble with. Might try it right now in fact.
Nope, that didn't work either. It seems very hit and miss, sometimes it works but most times it doesn't and it's only the very middle bits at the end. I think it's proibably the type of card I'm using too.
Loving these white on white cards, gorgeous work girls.
A couple from me ... I can't find out which challenge we're up to ?
Tomorrow is week 23 if you can believe it Cal!
Suzie have you tried using fun foam as your shim?
I have one particular large QuicKutz die that I could never get to cut in my cuttlebug and the only thing that has worked was using the regular sandwich for thin metal dies but putting a piece of fun foam between the cardstock I was cutting into and the cutting plate. Worked a treat and I never thought it would!
Fun foam is my last resort on any misbehaving die - thankfully only have two of them and not a whole load...
Here's mine for week 21, new technique. My technique is to learn the techniques of my new Silhouette Cameo on which I cut the couple :-)

That's lovely Phil and hasn't it cut well.
Nat, thanks for the tip I'll have a go. It's only a tiny part that doesn't quite cut as well as it should but it is so annoying.
How lovely - butterflies are definitely 'in' at the moment.
We are now on week 23 - here are the prompts
Quote:
So basically this week's card needs to feature anything at all relating to the Jubilee, such as:
Red, white and blue
Bunting and flags
Crowns
A royal theme
Keep Calm and...
Street party theme
Or anything else you think fits into the festivities
Here is my take on the Red, White and Blue theme:
Backing paper is pale blue with sailing dinghys on and was a freebie.
The boat is cut from semi gloss photopaper using a Marianne die, and the sentiment also uses Marianne dies. The reef knot is just ordinary white household string !
Good choices - I use In the Garden a lot and it is a lovely set for Easter cards. Christmas Critters was my first Penny Black Christmas purchase and I used it a lot for a couple of years - I think I need to dig that set back out and use them again over the summer for this year's Christmas cards. Wonderful is a recent purchase and I have barely used them so far so need to remedy that. I will pm you the supplier that I use for most of my Penny Blacks - they do have Christmas Critters in stock.
I recently did a blog post on my favourite Penny Black's here
Here is mine for this week - a bit different perhaps. Everything is recycled.

What an unusual idea - I like it very much !
I thought my Red/White/Blue effort lacked a little something - so I have added some Candi and a couple of anchors. I think it looks better - what do others think ?
I have still to do a card for week 22 but have just made a card for week 23 using a craft papers from May's edition of 'Making Cards'. I don't usually buy this sort of magazine but couldn't resist the pastel Union Jack papers I have used for this card.
here is my monochromatic card.
Using my trusty butterfly punch again!
Hi Virginia - both of those are lovely. I especially like the butterfly one !
To be honest Silver Tiger I thought the first card was great but now I've seen the 'finishing touches' yes that's even better still. Well spotted!
Virginia they are both lovely cards. I love the sentiment on the first one and the butterflies on the second are just lovely.
Great cards ladies!
Virginia I love that monochromatic one, the colour you chose is fab - and yummy big ribbon! :D
The pastel Union Jack papers worked a treat for this week's card too. :)
Lovely cards everyone. What a good and varied selection.
Here's mine for week 22. Monochromatic - I went for purple. Thanks Shirley Ann for your butterfly border :-)

Ooh that is lovely !
Yes I like the purple on purple stamping Phil, very pretty.
That is lovely Phil - and the butterfly border gives it a lovely pop. :D
That is lovely Phil.
Ooh lovely card Phil, and the cycling silhouette one too, must find where I've saved the monochrome one, it's not on the card with this one;

found it;

and I cheated, but not much.
I liked your tweaks to the RWB card ST2 and the proper knot too. Great work, it was good to start with but that little bit smarter now.
Thank you TC - I love both of yours - especially the white on white - I always think that looks elegant.
Thanks, The card was already embossed around the edges, but I was happy with it, will do more all white in future.
TC it was lovely cardstock, who was it by, I am always on the look out for interesting cards? It's always nice if you've done it yourself but I really don't care especially as I have a bad RSI in my index finger so I can only do the occasional bit of dry embossing myself; I tend to rely on the Cuttlebug these days.
Gosh I didn't realise I'd been AWOL for so long! I've had problems with my internet connection so now it's (hopefully) repaired I have a HUGE catch up to do! Will come back later and catch up with everyone's cards ^_^
I'm between breaks at the moment so will have a little catch-up this morning and get back into full swing later in the week I'm liking the white on white and the various flower techniques.
Lots of lovely cards on the thread everyone! It's always nice to see how different people interpret the prompts.
Well, as of 5 minutes ago I am officially all caught up, including today's prompt believe it or not! Desk looks like a tip though ;-)
I might even manage to get some photo's of them all tomorrow if I can tidy a bit of desk space LOL!
Wow, great cards. I have been playing along and posting the cards on my blog, but keep forgetting to come here and link and comment. I have subscribed now to rectify! I have found it a nice thing to do on a monday night :)
On my blog here. I'll try and remember to upload it tomorrow to the gallery here.
This is my card for week 24.
Peach = card-stock and patterned paper.
Flowers = stamp and embossed card-stock
Layers = 5 layers of paper and card-stock!
Didn't have much peach paper etc to use but got there in the end. Used a Hero Arts stamp that I haven't used for ages along with a bargain sentiment stamp bought from a local craft shop last week for £1
It didn't photograph brilliantly as the pearlescent card reflected the flash.
Well, here's the first few of my catch up!

Great cards Trish especially the butterflies.
Here's mine for this week.

Trish: Those a lovely cards - such fresh ideas - love the butterfly one.
Barbie: That is gorgeous - is that a Spellbinder die? It is such a lovely shape.
Here is my effort for this week - and it really is 'peach' coloured, honestly:-
oh my word - i love love love how well subscribed this challenge is this year but boy - take a week or so away and you all post post post!!!! 3 pages i've just back tracked - fantastic assortment of cards! will try and comment on the gallery later.
well, i think i'm officially uptodate if i can manage to make this weeks before Nat posts on Monday! I'm hoping to sway dh that a 'man' day with ds is essential to make it a 'proper' Fathers Day:P
i have finally managed the 'rainbow' prompt. I was going to go with some rainbow cupcake cases i have but then they didn't look good so back to the drawing board. I've had the VW stamp for yonks and have never used it as i've never had a backing for it until i serched for some digi rainbow stamps. The colouring is shocking - the card bled terribly and I have limited colours in my small PM collection - and I'm still learning! This is the VW I NEED in my life!
the red/white/blue prompt is me cheating a little as it only covers the R/W/B part and is sooo not a jubilee style but I need a card for a little boy and I recieved these toppers for xmas and really need to use them up! (I don't really like them!) so covering 2 parts of my own challenge for the year - use up stash and make cards that I need!
