Thank you and sorry you couldn't readthe verse but here it is now
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
different paths along the way,
we're all meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
far greater than we know.
For some the journeys quicker,
for some the journeys slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
and find an everlasting peace,
Together with our Lord
The verse and the keepsake albeit in sad circumstances are both beautiful.
You have a special talent.
A colleague at work loved my minnie mouse card and being a mad disney fan asked me to do her a Mickey one to go with it so that Minnie wouldn't get lonely!!!! ( I know  but I did say she is a mad fan)
I have added him to my gallery.
I have just added a couple of cards to my gallery. One of my own paper piecings which I will share when I have simplified it. And the other I have to thank CarolUK for such a lovely template.
Having heard in early January that he was seriously ill in hospital I made and sent a Get Well Soon to Patrick Swayze, one of my favourite actors. Thought no more of it …. until this morning, when it plopped onto the floor with my other post. It was marked as “insufficient address”, but I put the entire address given for his home on his fan site. It appears to have been touring around the United States for 2 months, where it appears that no-one in the U.S. Postal Service has heard of him or has the whit to know where to go to find whatever information was missing.
This would not have happened with the Royal Mail, dear me, no. Our postal service rarely fails to make a delivery for our equally well-known celebs. I remember not so long ago writing a letter of congratulation to Matthew Kelly for his most chilling performance in Cold Blood. I didn’t have a complete address but I knew he was living in West London, so I addressed it to Matthew Kelly, West London. It got there. How do I know? He wrote back to thank me.
Anyway, as I now have it returned to me I can show it to you. The inside is an adaption of one of my patterns from my book, but for the front I used one of the free templates from here, but I’m blowed if I can find the credit link (most of my files were either lost or corrupted during a catastrophic PC failure last year), so if it’s yours please say so I can credit you.
