the Web Beacons link is working again now, so I was able to opt-out.
For a very long time now, I have had problems with UKS it always seems to happen around the same time and it happens a couple of times a day.
I will click on something and nothing is happening then I find myself looking at a Google search page with UKS as the sites listed, but I've found if I restart my PC I can get straight back on no problems and fast. Yesterday it happened somtime between 4-5 and again between 11-12 and I have had it happen on occasion around lunch time as well.
I would like to add that this has never happened with other sites and while I can't access UKS I can still Google and access any other sites.
I had one of these for Christmas. You think RM and DM are difficult when you first get them!! It's taken me two days to record an LP and then I got one side superimposed on the other - you never heard such a din, lol. I think I've got it now, but there's a lot of swapping between softwares. CR will be a cinch now after that.
Myra
I got one of those as well, great minds :D. What software came with yours? Mine Mixmeister, EZ Vinyl Converter it was really easy to use, but the ITunes thing that came with it was way too bossy for me.
Now this was weird, we bought it online and a few days later I got a call from the bank asking had I made a payment to ITunes music site that they were trying to charge me for something, I said no so I then had to have a new card etc, but guess what Barclays charged me 1p for the ITunes electronic connection or something stupid. Did anything like that happen to you?
I want to put some of it on CDs, but I haven't got that far yet have you tried?
Hi Lucille,
I had EZ Vinyl converter and Audacity with mine. I found the EZ one OK but got fed up with it trying to connect to find out the CD track names, or whatever it was called. I don't want all the tracks named, I just wanted some of my old well-loved LP's put onto CD's.
I have to say the Audacity software was fine once I got used to it. You can't record to CD's from Audacity though, you have to save the files or tracks as WAV files. Then you have to import them into a recording programme at least that's what I did. The first one I did in Audacity, I recorded the first side of the LP and instead of hitting the Pause Button I hit the Stop one. When I finally put the files on the CD when I played it back the second side of the LP was on the top of the first. I had the overture and a song going at the same time, what a din!! I did go to the site and looked at a some tutorials, which were very useful. I Googled the USB turntable and it came up with all sorts of sites.
Good luck with yours, if I can help in anyway let me know. The last few tunes I tried worked fine as a CD recording. I will probably have forgotten how I did it by tomorrow, lol.

It's me AGAIN
I am getting really annoyed with Word, can any one explain why a 2 page tutorial I've just done is 8.77mb and yet the one I did yesterday which is 6 pages is only 1.3mb. If you have seen the tuts so far you know they have screen shots in them, these are no different obviously the 6 page has more screen shots than the 2 page.
I thought the same as you about marking them, but then realised if I wanted to stop the Cd and then carry on later from where I stopped it, if I didn't mark the tracks I wouldn't be able to do that. I stopped mine from going on line to Itunes and that Grace? place in the settings, but can't remember exactly what I did now, there is an option to do that.
I tried the Audicity one but thought EZV was well easier  I was really nervous at first but found I had plenty of time to do things. I had a couple of pactice goes first then bit the bullet and went for it.
It gets a bit boring sitting here for hours listening to music that I might not be in the mood for at the moment and having to listen to DH's  I'll be really glad when they are finished.
Lucille, I think it depends on if you have linked the screenshots or have embedded the pictures. If the latter, it will bloat your document.
Hi Lucille,
I will look at the Settings and try and disconnect the Gracelands (?) or whever it's called.
I wasted a lot of CD's trying out the different settings but once you have recorded anything to the CD it then becomes read only and you can't add anything to it. Apparently it doesn't take RW discs only CD-R. I found that you have to record everything you want on one CD to the programme and then send the lot to the CD, that's what I understood anyway. My EZ programme doesn't have anywhere you can change anything. Must have another look tomorrow. Daren't get too involved now I will never sleep.
It is very time consuming I agree, quite a long drawn out process in fact. In Audacity you can record LP's at 45 and then change the speed back to 33.1/3 and it saves three minutes recording time!
Update! I found the settings and have taken the tick out of getting CD track names.
Definitely haven't linked them, haven't got an option to embed them, just did the same as I usually do. I've since selected all and pasted to a new document it is now down to 2mb, but that is still way bigger than the 6 page document.
Back to the drawing board.
 I thought you weren't going to look, at least you will sleep tonight. I've bought a load of CD-R discs, they are hidden away in case my son pops in. My daughter is trying to pursuade me to get one of those MP3 player things, I'm not sure about that what if if breaks then I will lose what's on there.
What format do they have to in to put them on a CD? I haven't got that far yet.
Hi again,
I know I should be in bed, but since I started looking, well, you know how it is.
You have to save them in WAV format to save to CD. It did say in one of the tutorials that you can use other music recording programmes and I was just looking at Roxio Easy Media Creator, Ver 8, which has been on my PC for years. You can record into that one as well, similar sort of functions. It's definitely too late to try that, DH would have a fit.
Off to bed this time, honest, lol.
Night, sleep well!
