Your cards are wonderful Caz.
Can I ask - do you use Copic Ciao pens or the other Copic pens?
And do you need a lot of shades to create the effects you do?
Thanks

Hi Julie
I use mainly Copic Ciao's...I have all 144, plus I have bought a few Copic Sketch markers to add some additional colours. You don't need ALL the pens, but I have found the more you have the better you are able to add shade....but it takes a lot of practice and I am still learning.

Thanks for your help Caz - I have the Ciao's but sometimes find I'm missing the shade I need so I shall have a look at the Sketch pens.

I just wondered, does anyone know if the promarkers will work with copic ciaos? I have some promarkers but was thinking of moving over to Ciaos but obviously it would be good if I could also work with what I already have. Is the main difference between the two that the Ciaos blend better?
Emma
Having started with ProMarkers and moving to Ciao's I wouldn't say that they blend better. They blend the same.....but only if you have enough colours that are similar....
What I mean by that is...if you only have 2 pink pens and they are at different ends of the colour spectrum they will not look as good blended. This was always difficult with having so few in each shade with ProMarkers. Now they have expanded the range it will be easier.
Copics Ciaos are the same, and I have found that they blend the same. What made the difference was the 144 colours in the range...but now ProMarkers are up to 148 there should be little difference.
What you can do with Ciaos is refill them and buy new tips when they are worn out, even though Copic don't advertise them as refillable, you can refill them and replace the tip.But you can't do that with ProMarkers only their big brother Tria Markers.
ProMarkers are very slightly cheaper than Copics Ciao's and the Tria Markers are also approx the same cost as the Copics Sketch Markers.
Another difference...ProMarkers can be used with an airgun (that you can buy from Letraset) but Ciao's cannot....so really it is all about personal choice.
Good Luck.

Great, thanks Caz. I did wonder why the buzz seemed to have shifted from promarkers to ciaos but the range of colours makes sense. I've seen some pros on offer so I think I'll add a few more of them and try some ciaos next time.
I coloured in some of my Anya stamps last night and was so pleased with how good they look - I could never get magnolia stamps to work for me. Will try and make a card and post a pic soon.

I love the colours Caz. Here is my first card using an Anya stamp. I've not got round to re-sizing everything to load on to the UKS gallery but you can see it on my blog.
