A couple more Blonde Moments cards using littlesilverhat ribbons ....
I have just made some new cards using the dreaded peel offs and peel off markers
I keep having to come back and enjoy more cards as you add them :)
Gorgeous!!!
I've noticed some cards have a lovely pearlescent look, any ideas where I can buy them please? (By pm if not a sponsor)
Gillian have sent you a pm
Have to say that I am amazed at how lovely all the cards are!!
:D
Hi loved looking at all the great cards. I'm hopeing (if i ever get my act together:rolleyes: ) to go for a pastel theme this year with lots of glitter.
Below are some of the ones I did last year. The "toppers" are made from felt and stitiched using embroiderythreads. I stuffed them with wadding that had been soaked in christmas potpourri oil. I had put hangin loops on the top of them and they were attached to the cards by wire so they were easy to remove and hang on the tree. I had put little quickutz motifs behind to match the topper so when it was removed the cards weren't blank.
I also had to make box envelopes so they could be posted ok.
Oh Ali - those are beautiful. Must have taken a long time. How many did you make?
Thanks liana, I think I made about 60, and did have a few very late (one no sleep at all) before a craft fair I was selling them at. I also made about 150 other cards. I sold the decoration ones at £2.50 for the stockings and puddings and the santa, snowman and tree at £3.00. I sell all my others at £1.00.
I make so little money at the craft fairs :( that I'm not bothering this year and just doing orders for my friends. It means they can get personal cards with "Merry Christmas from the Smiths" on the front and stuff.
I love making all cards but christmas is the best especially last year with all that smelly oil.
My kids think christmas starts in October, we're already all covered in glitter:lol:
Wow - Ali, great work!! I've been asked if I'd like to make some for a friend to sell at her workplace. Apparently lots of them loved the ones I made for her last year and this year would like their own. It's just whether I can find the time... I like making them all different as well because I get bored repeating the same design over and over - still, that's probably what I'd end up doing!
They are gorgeous Ali. Very folk art looking
I would be delighted to get a card like that.:)
Hi,
I got a Robo in August and have really been taken by cutting silhouettes in black. It has also meant my neglected chalks get to see daylight again!
Here's I've made from a dingbat.
