Looks good and would really like to do this. Unfortunately I really am going back to school to work after a year on maternity leave and not sure I could fit it in...will have to have a think about it...
Thanks for the link!
Just taken a look at this and it looks really good - the only thing that would worry me would be - would I have enough time to do this every day!! Also do you need lots to do it?
I wish I could afford it ... have signed onto the blog tho in the vain hope that my name will be whisked out of a jar !!!
Have a great class tho !
Not something I'd pay $15 for! Would rather spend my cash on stash  There's tons of stuff online to get ideas from for free!
I signed up last night! Have been looking for a nudge to turn my sketchbook into a journal for ages - and I have a lot coming up in September to write about... :D ;)
Will be using an A5 sketchbook rather than 6x6, though. I'm determined not to have to buy anything for it! ;)
I've taken classes from Shimelle in person and I know how inspiring she is but I've signed up for so many BigPicture classes that I've never had the time or been inspired to do that I'm a bit wary now ;) How easy are her online classes to keep up with ? And am I really going to want to do this one ??!! :D (I'm just waiting to be convinced as I do want to do it really..... :D)
Thanks for that, I've just joined up!
I love Shimelle's classes so I've signed up again. They are not hard to follow and you can download them and do them later if you need to. She kind of specialises in getting you to use the stash you have rather than buy things specially. The $15 worked out at about £8.50 so I didn't think it was expensive. She's the first person to get me to try thinking outside the box.:D
I would say that it is $15 dollars well spent. 30 classes with loads of ideas, chances to work with big names from the US and learn from them as well and an opportunity to do something really "different". We are talking £8!Quote:

Shimelle is one of the "big names". CKU instructor and works all over USA and Europe.
You don't need to do it every day as you can download the classes and do them in your own time. (I took ages to finish the first one I did.)
More importantly this is not a "stash-hungry"class. You can use your supplies if you wish and Shimelle encourages diversity and "out of the box" thinking in her classes.
(By the way, I am not on commission but felt sad to hear such a top-level designer written off:()
I have taken Shim's classes before, and have throughly enjoyed all of them. I haven't kept up with them all, but I have found her prompts to be extremely inspiring - very realistic in terms of what you can manage in a small amount of time, and really good value for money.
This is going to be my first time. I'm really, really looking forward to it. I don't think even fifteen POUNDS for the one month would have been too much - it would only be 50p a day! As it is it works out at just under 30p a day. My newspapers cost more than that. and I expect you can use the prompts and ideas over again. Good if you need knocking out of a groove...
If it's 30 classes it is very good value for money I thought it was for one class. I'm not knocking it I think it's great I was just saying there's already lots of scrapbookers/designers online that share their ideas for free too :)
I dont think it is sharing ideas thing... it is classes with prompts !!! I signed up a while back for it.. Never seen one of hers before but thought $15 was not bad if it is going to get me scrapping!!!
:) :) Oh yes, I agree about free stuff being around - especially on here. Just sometimes one has to admit one needs a gentle kick up the rear to get going with something... An email everyday and a group discussion will at least help stop me from (ahem) 'forgetting' what I wanted to do... :lol:Quote:
