Kraft paper and cardstock is big in the US, but hasn't really made it's way over here until the last few months. With Jillibean Soup and now Fancy Pants bringing us fantastic new lines in Kraft paper, why not give it a try. It's perfect for girls, boys, in face, lots of different page themes. This line from Jillibean Soup is made from 100% recycled paper, and has a beautiful smooth surface which you don't expect. If you're not keen on the pattern, then the back of the paper, plain Kraft, is just as gorgeous as the printed side! Give it a try, and see if you can be converted!! A kit is available on the Indigo Mill website for this class.

Supplies from class kit: 2 x Bazzill 12x12 Concord Grape 3 x Jillibean Soup ‘Split Pea' Kraft paper - (choose green or red) ½ sheet Doodlebug Chenille Flocked cardstock (red or orange) ½ pack Jillibean Soup Journal Sprouts (red/kraft or black/kraft)Also used: White & Black American Crafts gel pens Charcoal Ink Pad Sentiment stamps Fiskars star squeeze punch Photos used: For the class I have used one 4"x6" for main photo, two 3"x3" and three 2"x21/2" (but you can use as many and any size you like) TIP: Ensure both your sheets of Concord Grape Bazzill have their ‘washboard' lines running in the same direction. If they run in different directions it can look as though they are different colours! Method: 1.Cut two 3" strips from your Pinch of Sugar/Chicken Stock JBS Kraft paper 2.Cut two 4" strips from your Bay Leaf/Sliced Carrots JBS Kraft paper. Hand cut a wave shape from one edge of each strip 3.Adhere a 3" strip to the bottom of your left hand sheet of Bazzill, just under the centre of the card. Adhere the second 3" strip to the top half of the right hand sheet of Bazzill, again, just above the centre line. 4.Adhere your ‘wave' strips above and below the 3" strips respectively leaving around 1/2" of bazzill showing in between the two strips 5.Mat your main photo using Ham hock/Green Peas paper with either a border of dots, or with the large star showing to the left / right of your photo. Draw a line around the edge of the photo and the mat with your white gel pen 6.Choose your ‘story' photos to go on the left hand page. If you use three smaller photos as we have, cut a 1" strip from your remaining papers, and use the back (plain Kraft) to mount your small photos on with dots / dashes in between each photo. Draw round the edges of the photos with a black pen 7.Draw white borders around your two remaining photos and fix them to the ‘wave' strip on the left hand page, both photos at a slight angle 8.Hand cut / Die cut your title from red Flocked Chenille Doodlebug cardstock, and fix to the two largest Journal sprouts. I found the red quite bright, and so ran a charcoal ink pad across the flock to ‘dull it down' 9.Fix your chosen title across the centre of your layout, one sprout on each side page 10. Punch stars from Kraft and red flocked paper. Fix one red star onto the left of the plain Kraft strip which your small photos are mounted on to. Fix three more red stars along the ‘wave' edge of the right hand page. Use the Kraft stars as ‘name tags' for the main photo subjects. 11. Using your Journal sprouts, tell your story across the page from left to right, placing them higgledy piggledy across both pages. 12. Stamp two sentiments onto scraps of bay leaf/sliced carrots paper and fix to upper right corner of right hand page
