Font of the Week

GORAL  is a full font family.  Be warned, when you download the RAR file, when unpacked it will include MANY versions of this font (thin, light, wide and heavy in regular, serif and wide styles). There are also a number of files you can simply delete (svg, woff and eot files) but I think I counted 50 files opening in total.  I like it a lot, personally, and think it's worth it, but see what you think...

Happy Scrapping 2015!
BlogBits (April)

Layouts: We start May's Blog Bits with this eye-catching layout by elainevking - I love the black and white with a splash of lime. I think layering can be tricky and sutty shows how it can be done with flair! Oh and some more super layering from Maggie B, too.

Susibee has blogged a great page she did for a weekly challenge here on UKS; I adore the scattered embellishments. If you need a bit of a kickstart try a sketch (and maybe a challenge) check out MiniOwner's too. I like Alexa's take on Project Life (sort of) in "real " and digital  form. Facy an interesting challenge? Check our Sian's Movies In May challenge here .

Cards: I'm so liking the beach theme in Efemera's blog post which includes this super card. Scrapmate UK shows us a really effective way to use a stencil background and there's a super get well card on Mystic Nat's blog and you won't help but smile at WeirdCat's Grumpy Monkey card.

Some gorgeous Christmas cards using hexagons here by butterbee who joined in with MiniOwner's blog challenge to Beat the Christmas Rush; will you join in too? I love the sentiment, if you can call it that, on the 2nd card here , by Julia. Made me smile.

Other projects: This one is a little odd - I want to hightlight the ATC Trail swap , and captured the image (left) because of a current post in the thread. I loved the ATCs on winterbaby 's blog but didn't notice right away that it is actually a year old.  Doh! The point is it is super cute and I'm adding it anyway.  Lucky Me got this amazing ATC in a recent swap! And, staying with ATCs, a couple more for a swap by lemonblossom.

Misteejay has been enjoying a mucky play day with mica powder, texture paste and vinyl , or if you're into sci-fi look no further than Jazz27's blog; there's a challenge there, too.  Elainevking has shared a very pretty altered cocoa tin. Some great birthday banners feature in soojay's blog post. Follow the link to Bullet Journalling in this post by ScribbleMonster and while you are there take a tour round her beautiful blog. Some garden related printables from me here , in two styles.

Pea Wolfe Tracks

You may recal Kevin&Amanda and Scrapbooking Fonts .  That stopped bing updated in 2010.  But another page, even after the demise of 2Peas, Fonts for Peas , is still having fonts added.  Just pop over and have a look.   I picked this one beacuse of the extra characters.  But they are all usable handwriting fonts.  Maybe one is close to your handwriting? Lots of sticker and stamp fonts are available there in digital form, so if you have never been before, settle in - you'll be browsing for a while....
HOUSE Challenge (May 2015)

Welcome to the house challenge for MAY brought to you by the GREEN BUTTONS

This month it is a word inspired challenge

As we all talk about it so much we thought we'd go with a WEATHER  theme

Please create a layout inspired by the poem below...

Whether the weather be fine
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold
Or whether the weather be hot,
We weather the weather
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not.

To qualify for the 30 bonus points for this challenge all you have to do is upload your page to your house gallery by 31st May and also post a link in the thread

Have fun
