Font of the Week |
|
It's been a while since we have had a nice ornate sort of font. This one would work well for a Circus theme, or a Wild West themeand looks good printed in colour. Really best for a title, and perhaps a single word (or at least short) one at that. I like the upper/lower case change of the position so you can mix them or go all dark top/all light top. a nice touch! |

This week, we have a page to match the cover for the SIMPLE mini-book, compliments of Karen Cole, using Hybrid techniques. Download the PDF by clicking here (note this is the same PDF you will have downloaded for the cover as the instructions are the same - but here you can see another page sample with journaling replacing the title) If you like Karen's work, pop in to visit her blog here ! |
Good Morning UKS, It’s Monday so it must be a new weekly challenge day. Scrapdolly has kindly lets us come back and set another challenge, because you all liked our last one, well we think you did, you did didn’t you, we’re sure you did, did you? As we are The Indecisives, you just know this was never going to be a simple task for us to complete, we just could not make our minds up what to include; should there be ribbons, colours, journalling, distressing, inking, painting, poems, quotes, buttons, brads, theme? I could go on and on. So in true INDECISIVES style, we decided to include all of our ideas and let you decide which challenge you want to complete. Please see our 3 challenges below and pick the one that rings your creative bell. The only rule is: challenge elements cannot be mixed. Our House challenge for the month of March is going to be a scrap lift challenge – and please give credit where credit is due, and show us or tell us who and where you scrap lifted from. Also, this month we’d like it to be all about friendship – so please scrap your friends, they can be ones you see regularly, maybe at a crop, or maybe scrap about your online friends or even those of the furry kind.
Here are a couple of quotes to help you along J

First let me mention I will be takng a break over Easter and there will be no Blog Bits or Library posts the weeks beginning 5 and 12 April 2010.
Next, a few layouts that caught my eye - a nice colourful one by Karen G ; a pretty Prima one by Samm ; a cute one with a sweet banner by Sutty and another sweet banner by ozzycat . Nice idea to blog What's Rocking Your World by Celtic angel - maybe this will be the next WOYWW! A very cute and easy spring wreath by Joy on IACW A look at a project from Something from {almost} Nothing (see a sneak peek at the class here ) by agirlcalledbob Another great cut file (and a printable/handcutable one too) from Dan99 - quickly cover those cheap Ikea frames ! An old WOYWW from allyF but I just loved this sparkled and electrified hat so I had to share it! Lastly, Rebekah at The Happy Scrapper had a blog hopping birthday bash. A few links to explore: a free printable from Shimelle, a clipboard from Voodoo Vixen, making UTEE embellies by Scrappydandydoo, and a mini-album from recycled bits by Canny Crafter (and a click for a video of the finished product). |

Not our usual FOTW. Tribbon is a multi-layered font, not one you would use every day. But there will be a layout out there it would be perfect for. It needs to be BIG to see the detail, so not the usual UKS image either. Click the link to read about the font, and see a short video on how to use it. |
