Looking at the recipe for this month I had a clear idea of what was needed when I began collecting supplies. I gathered some cardstock, a few mists, some simple circle punches, a few pots from my button stash, and a die.
I misted the three colours on the left of the layout, letting the mists run down the page. I took elements from both sketches (the all-around-the-page border (sort of) from one and the photo+journaling block and embellishment placement from the other and got down to it. I used one of the printables I designed for the journaling block as the title on it fit perfectly. The colours weren't a great match so I added a pink punched circle to one O and the turquoise bitton the the other, which brought it more in line colourwise. More punched circles here and there and I used the straight die-cut border to make the edging for the flower centre. I did a quick little YouTube
video for that.
All in all a pretty easy one - perhaps a bit more arty and drippy/misty that I usually do, but it was a fun way to experiment with a technique that I don't usually bring to my layouts.
Hope it give you some ideas for raiding your stash.
