I did buy the acrylic paint - a very new avenue for me so I am looking forward to trying this
Just wondering if I can use some of the kids paints for the splattering effect as I don't have any mists .

I love how you've done it with different papers but it works equally well, it's given me the confidence to have a go later as I'm using alternative supplies!

I'm going to give this a go using my own stash, but I'm not going to spend too much time picking stuff out like I usually do. I think this layout design and techniques will look fabulous with any papers! Thanks, Shimelle for the tutorial and the confidence you've given me this past year to "just stick it to the page!" Hope to have it posted by tonight!

I have to say that this isnt my usual style at all but I am going to have a go and see what I can come up with - I have been looking at magazines recently and thinking this style isnt for me but you have to give these things a chance, so I am going to see what I can learn and maybe find a whole new style that I like! I shall post soon :-)

Well you may say I've cheated because I've done it digitally, but to be honest it has taken me as long as it would doing it IRL and as I create all my own pps and embellishments I feel I am justified in putting it here.

Great LO & i believe that you're justified putting it here. Digital crafting is no less crafty than paper. You're still learning new techniques.
Great LOs so far & whilst i was super worrying about the fact that i didn't have the same papers etc. i now realise that i don't need to copy I'm learning the techniques!
Thanks Shimelle for the class

Mary, that's not cheating - you are certainly welcome to share a digi version!!! I love that you could even do the stitching in digital format! So glad you shared your page!
Julia, yep, that's definitely the idea to give various things a go and see what suits your style and what doesn't. Each month's page will be relatively easy to put together once it's broken into the twenty steps, but some of those steps will include things that might be different to how you usually scrap, so you can then find what you like most and add it to your own style.
Jane, you scrap like you mean business!! Can't believe how quickly you were able to finish and post, and your layout looks fab if I do say so myself!!

Thanks everyone for the enthusiasm! Can't wait to see even more pages!

A great project Shimelle, could I just ask one thing for next time? Its taken me ages to read it as I really struggled with the font you have used. I got there in the end but even with my pc zoomed larger its taken me a fair bit to work it out.
Now I have worked it out I am going to have a go at all these new techniques though, thank you
