As Leo's version was very arty, with lots of lovely techniques, my version is more simple.
It uses quite a bit from my stash that is what you might call "waste"
First, I shopped in my stash, with the kit list in mind, and the colour combo. I picked out a load of stuff, not all I used! Paper, card and ribbons,
and other stuff:
In the end, adding some thing, and leaving others untouched, this is what I ended up with:
Notes: The brown bit of cardstock under the photo was the leftover from another layout. The curve was already cut, so why not make use of it?
For alphas, letter dies are fab. Used two alphabets, and scraps of card to get my title.
Gimme Some Sugar usually means
give me some love (a kiss, a cuddle, a smile) and as the ancient circle embelli says
Hey There Sugar! I thought it worked nicely.
I have had those ScrapWorks metal frames for so long - I keep dragging them out and putting them away again. This time I managed to use them - Result!
I made a stacked strip of the crochet lace, the grey flower trim and the word sticker and when I trimmed off the right edge, it ended up fitting at the top for a bit of extra interest.
And that pointing finger? I love that motif, use it a lot, and I have a couple of stamps and loads of stickers that have it. But this one I printed from a font - best, as I can use scraps to print on, pick the colour, pick the orientation (pointing left or right) AND the size! A great use of scraps, even quite small ones, is to print a dingbat on it for a small custom embellie.
It still needs journaling but I am torn between doing it on a block at the right of the photo or handwriting it along the curve of the brown cardstock! I may ponder that a little longer....
