Scrap Your Day by Shimelle

This fabulous project by Shimelle is being launched as part of our precybercrop classes, but its not just for cybercroppers, its for everyone

More details will be posted on Monday 21st, but if you'd like a kit or to find out a bit more, then just read on...

Ever wished the cybercrop lasted all year? Now it can. The Oscars cybercrop brings you a project that starts this April and keeps right on going, but don't worry...it won't be too much work! For the next twelve months, the 25th will be an official 'Scrap Your Day' day here at UKS. On the 25th of the month, we'll all pick up our cameras and snap the things we see, and this book gives us a place to put those photos and write down the details.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 15th) at 7am, you'll be able to buy this Scrap Your Day kit from shimelle.com. The kit includes one 7x15 spiral bound calendar album by Making Memories and thirteen sheets of 6x12 patterned paper by American Crafts, Sassafras Lass and Crate Paper (designs as shown below).

When you purchase the kit, you'll also receive a PDF file illustrating the quick construction of this album -- it makes the 6x12 papers make sense and it will mean that keeping your book going is just a matter of adding photos and a few notes each month rather than reinventing the wheel.

The kit costs £10 plus £2 postage and packing and will be sent to you via First Class post.

To this basic kit, you'll add a few elements from your own stash to customise the look. You'll need a set of letter stamps and a black ink pad (or any other lettering option you love), scraps of cardstock and a few of your favourite embellishments like flowers or ribbons.

If you want to take part but use all of your own stash, just sit tight, and you can still join us. The Scrap Your Day project will have monthly prompts, tips and illustrations that are free for all members of UKS, including suggestions for making your own book that would be suitable for the project.

So, check out Shimelle.com tomorrow if you'd like to buy your kit, then check back here on the 21st for more details

Well I won't be BAKING a cake but I will be on Brownie Pack Holiday on May 25tho and it is absolutely compulsory for each child to bring a home baked cake! So there are always stacks about to be eaten at every moment of the day! I am based in the kitchen too and as the theme is Fairy Tales I am going to be the Gingerbread Man! So Yes cakes will deffo be featuring in my next LO!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments on my first LO. If my April page for Scrap Your Day is going to take as long as my first layout did, I think I should be able to show it by April 2009!!!!!!

Lesley, your cake really has caused quite a stir, but now it looks like we've moved onto rhubarb crumble! Yum!!! That definitely wouldn't last in the post . . . !!!
