Please help me before I burst!

I got my CR last night and the Design Master software but the DM will not install at all. I put the disc in and go to My Computer but the disc doesnt even appear. Am I doing something wrong or is it the disc?

I dont know if the fact I bought it 2nd hand makes any difference?

Have you registered it with the Crafty Club (Graphtec) even if you haven't give them a ring on 01978666700 and tell them you bought it second hand and explain what's happening...as far as I'm aware you do need a code to install for Designmaster

Thank you, also, one more thing if you dont mind, on my Craft Robo when I go to Cut it wont let me as the option isnt highlighted!!

It sounds to me like the controller hasn't been insalled. You may need to uninstall it, remembering to go to you program files and deleting any files to do with Robomaster, then reinstall again. Hopefully that will solve your problem.

Thank you! I have been trying to sort this out since about 8.30 this morning and ive not got very far.

I managed to Install the DM but it had an adverse effect. It told me it was sending me to the site to register and then it blocked my internet so I had no connection!! Grrrr had to uninstall it.

Oh god have I made a big mistake?

No you haven't made a mistake, there's lots of help on here. You can bet if you ask a question someone (or everyone) will do their best to help.
Did you phone the number I gave? Someone (probably Brian) will be able to talk you through the installation if you are still having problems, they are sooo helpful.

I uninstalled everything and started all over again and the message I got was:

Windows cant install the Graphtec Craft Robo kernel-mode print driver. To obtain a driver that is compatible with the version of windows that you are running, contact the manufacturer!!!

I cant believe I finally got one and now cant get it to work

What type of PC are you running maybe some one has the same and can help more

Its a laptop running Windows Vista Basic

Mine is XP but I'm pretty sure Anne (Fuchia) has Vista hopefully she (or someone else with Vista) will be able to help more when she/they see this. Please don't give up

If you have a second hand Robo, you may not have the correct drivers for Vista on the installation disk. You should be able to download these from the Graphtec Crafty Club website. You'll need to have your Robo serial number to register. I believe you may also need to login with/have Administrator privileges to get things working - check for previous posts about this.

It seems that I have got all the software that I need but the only thing is that Robo Master will not recognise the fact that the Controller is there!!

Oh god is this going to be the first Robo Death?
