    Silhouette Cameo 4?

I'm thinking about changing my Cameo for a Cameo 3.......however I don't want to buy it and then find that the Cameo 4 is released a few months down the line. Check Asda Offers and Aldi Offers. I don't use my machine very much so it is a little extravagant to change it but I adore it when I do use it.
Has anyone heard if there is a new machine in the pipeline?

    I just found this.
    Silhouette CAMEO ® 4
When will the new Silhouette CAMEO ® 4 come out and
what will the newest descendant in the Silhouette family bring us?
Here you can be the first to read the news about the Silhouette CAMEO® 4

    silhouette-cameo-4 pre-release
    CHECK AVAILABILITY

When is the Silhouette CAMEO ® 4 expected?
Silhouette America brings a new cutting machine to the market every couple of years and each version offers more and more possibilities and functionalities. It is therefore a matter of time until the new machine comes out, but when exactly? If you are now hesitating about the purchase, do you wait until the new version comes out, or do you buy the current version?

Based on the historical, we can reduce a lot. Below are the dates on which all cutting machines have come out:

    Original Silhouette
    Silhouette SD February 2009
    Silhouette CAMEO 1 November 2011
    Silhouette CAMEO portrait November 2012
    Silhouette CAMEO 2 October 2014
    Silhouette Curio October 2015
    Silhouette CAMEO 3 August 2016
Silhouette CAMEO 3 Black and Pink October 2017
    Silhouette CAMEO 4 2018?
On average, Silhouette brings a new version of the CAMEO on the market every 2 years, with a different type of cutting machine (portrait / curio) in the year in between. Silhouette has, with the exception of 2013, every year with the holidays a new machine in stores.

The development and production of a machine such as the CAMEO takes about 2 years from start to finish. There is a lot involved, because all new functions of the machine, for example, also have to be built into the software. It is therefore most likely that the Silhouette CAMEO ® 4 will be released in 2018.

It is possible that Silhouette will not bring out the new CAMEO ® 4 in 2017 (around the holidays) , but a different type of machine.

What do we know about the Silhouette CAMEO ® 4 so far?
In the early years of Silhouette, rumors quickly circulated and Silhouette was more open about the upcoming developments. The last few years, however, they have become increasingly better in keeping this secret and it is increasingly difficult to know in advance what will come out. Official distributors are given information shortly beforehand under embargo, but must keep it secret until the official announcement.

At the moment we do not know anything yet, but we do have a suspicion based on current developments

New features and possibilities of the Silhouette CAMEO ® 4?
If Silhouette is the new CAMEO, what could be the new features? These are the features that many people want:

    Wifi instead of Bluetooth
Cut wider than 12 "(30.5 cm)
Sturdy motor and more pressure for thicker material
    Stiller
    Faster
What will the Silhouette CAMEO ® 4 cost?
The most ideal price for Silhoutte has always been under $ 300. Depending on the dollar exchange rate, the recommended retail price in the Netherlands is usually around € 329.00, but due to the competition on the hobby market, it is often offered for € 299, - or less. There are currently no signals to expect that the pricing of the CAMEO 4 will be different.

Do I have to wait for the Silhouette CAMEO ® 3?
Because it takes a long time before the CAMEO 4 comes out, our advice is to buy the CAMEO 3 now. This is a fantastic machine where you can probably do everything you want.

It was on a site in the Neverlands.

Helen I do hope it takes them a couple more years to bring a new model out. My Cameo 3 is only just over a year old and I waited 6 years before upgrading to it.
