Thank you :-) On three of them, I stamped and embossed a white image, then shmooshed Distress inks over the top. The ink wipes straight off the embossing leaving the white showing through. I flicked some water over the ink and then blotted the drops with kitchen towel. Then I over-stamped with various images, the flowers, script etc. The fourth card is the same except it isn't embossed first, just backgrounded in the same way and over-stamped. The resulting topper needs to dry completely before attaching to a card blank
I saw you I cautiously beavering away on with your stamps... What a result. They are truly beautiful.
I didn't know about this thread. When I get around to making some cards I'll share them on here too.
Here is a card I made a few weeks back that didn't fit a theme at the time so I'll show you now.. I made it for my Aunts 90th birthday
What a lovely card Elaine ... It looks like a gatefold, with the two front 'flaps' folded back again diagonally? I have become quite interested in differently shaped cards :-)
I have more stamped toppers, done at the retreat, to finish off into cards, so watch this space
These are both lovely Wendy and I checked your blog to see what dies they are. I love the richness of the first one and I can see another set of dies I might just have to buy.
I thought I'd pop this card on here as it doesn't fit with the challenge prompts.
forgotten to pop in again
love the card for your aunts birthday the fold pearls everything
and your mandela cards Wendy love the 1st rich one and contrast 2nd one
Really love yours Susie the die is so versatile pretty all the detail
Two shaped cards today DH asked for an engagement card - guess what was the one thing I didn't have in my box!!! The second one is my first experiment with a Wink of Stella brush pen, though it doesn't actually come out very well in the photo.
Hello Ladies, I have just found this Thread, Wow Ladies all your cards are amazing and those dies are lovely, I actually went and got some of my dies out and had a play last night, I need to practise how to use them properly but I have a few more ideas now, it's great to see how other people use them, thanks for the inspiration.

Beautiful cards and how did I miss your gorgeous birthday card Elaine. That is such a pretty and clever card. I love the way you've used the doily as a lace collar and then the pearls, really lovely.
Wendy, it goes to show how versatile those dies are and two more gorgeous cards yet completely different from the others. The Wink of Stella pens are lovely aren't they! I love that floral design too.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with Chris and see if you have any dies I need!
...are you kidding me? Lol
I've been making cards this weekend too.
Here are some I made... My Mums Mother's Day card, a birthday card and a diamond wedding anniversary card for my in laws.
Tow more beautiful cards from you Wendy
All three are gorgeous Elaine.
I like the first one because it's eye poppingly ( if that's a word!) lovely.
The second is beautiful in its simplicity and subtle colours.
BUT.....I just adore the last one. The colours are beautiful and the
flowers are exquisite. Clever you, your Mom will surely love it....

Wow Elaine! Three stunning cards and each so different, I simply can't decide which one I like best and glad I don't have to. You really have been busy. Oh and of course I didn't mean it about the dies, as if...
