I always find it amazing how having the layers of matching colour pulls a card or scrapbook LO together. Mind you, it applies to anything. I was planting up my sister's garden this summer and I think I drove them mad saying if we just put this colour here and that there it will pull it all together. My beloved sister was saying, I don't care just get on with it will you!
I'm just working on a card I made especially for you Ellie - digi image - and I'm just trying to find a way of bringing the back layer of card to life.

Wow..doesn't that look better? So pleased for you.
Susie those Old English cards are gorgeous..and the Peace on earth..I guess that's a die? Lol
I'm away for a few days so won't be creating for a while now. Have fun while I'm gone.

Yes, yes Elaine, the Peace On Earth is a die, guilty as charged! Thanks for the comments about the OES, you can tell we are sheepdog mad. Have a lovely weekend and I hope wherever you are the weather is much nicer than it is here at the moment.
Your card is finished Ellie, just need to get a decent photo. It's just a little free digi image but it actually fits in well with the prompts.
As you said Nat, it is lovely to see this thread busy. Mind you, I'm not getting any housework done!

What surprised me Nat was that pale knitted effect card, far from giving a warm touch to the card added to the frosty look, it's such a great card, but would we expect anything else from you!
Isn't it lovely to be able to pick out elements from each others cards and use them in your own - but then, I suppose that's what these challenges are about, giving each other ideas. Lovely the way you picked up on the tree in Nat's card Ellie and I bet you'll find ways to use that again.
I must go and do some housework, instead of just talking about it!

Made with you in mind Ellie!

Oh Susie thats gorgeous , and that blush pink is to die for ( excuse the pun )
Love the spotty bow , and the intricate detail edging..
The flowers and colours fit the brief very well.
I must give it a try when I come back. I have been looking at frames on
Google. Thank you
Ellie

Thank you so much Ellie, but it's basically a downloaded image and a bit of die cutting, but it gives you an idea of how you always have images to hand. Thank goodness Elaine's away, she'd say I was enabling again!
That image was on all-free-download.com so type that into Google and when you get on the site click on Free Vectors at the top and then type in the search box for whatever you're after. I typed in florals or floral backgrounds and it comes up with all sorts. If you click on a Shutterstock image it will take you to another site and you have to pay for their images, mind you, I'm not surprised, usually my favourites are on Shutterstock.
It's a pity that Liz closed Pink Petticoat, she had some wonderful designs, especially her background papers.

shhh, she won't be any wiser
Just had a quick look at Vector, I had no idea how many lovely images
were available for free. Most defiantly will try them
Thank you Susie.

I'm so glad you liked them Ellie and don't be surprised if you find the time flies when you're searching. Some of them can be quite big files, so depending how big your hard drive is, if you find them taking up room you could save them on to a flash drive.
I'll be in trouble with Elaine when she gets back, she's bound to look back through this thread to see what we've all been up to. Ah well, better get all my enabling done quickly then!
I just posted an image I found but when it enlarged it said copyright protected so I've taken it down again - can't win 'em all!
