Lovely cards Frances. They fit the brief perfectly..
I love the snowy one best.

I thought I'd pop this card on although it is from last Christmas. The background is an embossing folder which I glittered and trust me, the ribbon is white organza not grey! You can just make out the Christmas lights in the background, they'll soon be out again. I might make a few of these this year as I only sent this one and I remember who I sent it to.

Meant to say, the ribbon is going to have to go, it just looked so wrong. Pity you can't really see the glitter - I sound like you now Ellie.

Just posted same message, how do we delete posts? I just took out the message and typed this instead but is there a way of actually deleting?

I found that out too Susie. I don't know how to delete a message.
Love the card, can see the sparkle, but I agree with you about the ribbon.
Perhaps a smaller one would look better.

I knew when I'd made it I wasn't happy but didn't want to waste it. That was one of those 'what would happen if I try this' type of cards, a sort of prototype. I made another one last night which I will post when I've uploaded it. This one has no ribbon which is better but now I'm not happy with the glitter I've used, it has a purple tinge to it in certain lights - what's that about! I'm going to do another with a different glitter. I'll use it but I'm not happy, but I should have checked the glitter before I used it, it was a new one (to me that is) by Hunkydory.

I know, I do that, and think," oh it will be ok" then look at it later and
think " noooo it won't ".
