I really loved the layout from 3JollyScrappers this month - so bright and cheerful with loads of little details.
For mine, I really focused on the added ingredients. The comments about STAMPS really struck a chord with me, as I spent far too long last week organizing mine. I have a LOT os stamps but use them on layouts very infrequently so I wanted to take advantage of the fact I recently familiarized myself with my collection! I started by using some big stamps to create "patterned cardstock" and the two brackets are actually the top and bottom of a journaling stamp - I cut them out and used one pointing to the photos strip and the other for the little collage at the top.
I also pulled out my butterfly stamps, thinking they might be good, but in the end went for my bargain find - a bee stamp I found for 99p! I added Stickles to the body and Rock Candy to the wings. Cut out the big one, but punched the tiny one.
In the end I actually used only one small strip of patterned paper.
I used INK PADS too, to ink the edges of the card and paper strip, but used paint on the edges of the background. I love that,
an old technique, because unlike ink it gives a really dimensional look.
I used three different alphabets, one (SMILE) I have had for AGES, love, but never seem to think of it. And tiny type - so useful and I have lots, mostly partial sheets.
Also a (these days) rare revisit to typed journaling. I just had a lot to say and too much messy handwriting would have ruined it for me
I also used one of my
printables, slightly altered, for the camera motif.
Hope you find something here to take away to your own scrapping. If so, do share
