pse 10 help please?

I have upgraded from pse 7 to pse 10 and need help with a problem. When you opened an image in pse 7 you could click on the adjustment layer in the layers pallette and choose threshold to convert image to black and white a dialogue box would come up so you could adjust the amount of black and white but there is no box coming up in pse 10. any help or advice would be appreciated please.
Ill try to post a link it's hard to explain what I mean!!!

Hi Lin!

I use PSE 10 and to convert an image to B&W I find the easiest way is to go the ENHANCE menu then select the option towards the bottom 'CONVERT TO BLACK AND WHITE' - this brings up a screen where you can select different styles and adjust the intensity to suit your photo.

I'm not sure if I'm on the same track as you Lin but are you using the threshold to find the lightest and darkest point of your photo ? If so try under the filter menu and your slider box comes up in there.
As I say I'm not sure if that's what you're trying to do.

Thanks for replies I know you can do it the long way round through the filter menu but I liked the shortcut before!

Got an answer from another forum you have to have the adjustments window open for the slider to appear! Easy when you know how eh?

and I just assumed that you were looking for another slider than the one in the adjustment panel that was staring me in the face while I was looking for another different one LOL
Glad you got it sorted though.
