I found more stuff that I wanted to back up, so not long finished.
I ended up having to take some friendly professional advice, so it is going away to be formatted tomorrow.
At least I think I've managed to save all my stuff, which is a bonus.
Thank you Doreen, for your help, as your suggestion to system restore, helped a bit, so it was a start.

Please make sure that you haven't copied the trojan over into your backups.
One of our laptop users at work got this on his works laptop and in the end we had to reformat it as we could do nothing with it. We tried the malware programmes and various other tools we have to no avail, something was left behind somewhere.
If you are sending the laptop away to be done could you also give them your backup to virus check for you?

yay Doreen I'm back on my pc, still downloading all my programs, and haven't reached RM or SS yet, but I've got my Mcafee in, so that's a start.
I had the choice to go to win 7, but I was a coward, and decided to stick with XP.

I've spent yesterday puting everything back in, especially my craft stuff, so it looks like I am back to normal.......lets hope it stays this way.lol.

This is driving me nuts but does anyone know how to get emails into different peoples boxes from one mail server? Not sure if I've asked that right.
I have an email address, OH has an email address and then I have one for the website. In windows mail I have put Me, Mark and Website as 3 seperate email adresses, they're all coming through but just into the 'inbox', not into the seperate folders, does anyone know how to get them to go into seperate folders please?
I had this set up before my PC died but can't for the life of me remember how I did it, lol.

Not sure if it helps Anne, but I managed it on my computer by setting up some mail rules so that any email I receive where the 'To' line contains my address gets put in my folder, and OH's in his folder. Would that work for you?
