Acrylic blocks or Rocka Blocks when stamping
Excuse me if this has been asked before. At present I used acrylic blocks to stamp but I some times I get the stamp lines spreading a bit if I apply too much pressure. Would I be better using rocka blocks or the other method pressing down on foam with a springy thing? (Dont know what its called or where to buy it.)
Many thanks

before you buy anything, try using an old telephone book or a wad of paper under your paper. I have never needed rockablocks myself and bought a selection of acrylic blocks before they came out. I have got a foam stamping pad which only cost a few quid but TBH I rarely bother to get it out.
edit: I also have the fiskars clear stamp thingy, Is that what you mean..I actually like it as the little foam legs mean that you can fiddle with lining up before you stamp...the foam legs don't stop the marks though, you still need the old phonebook underneath

Hi Shirley!!
I have been considering the fiskars foam -legged plate thingy. BM@Shiremoor have them in actually!
I've always been a bit wary of the rocka block things - sure i'd be rubbish with one!
Let us know what you go for! xx

Normal? No, I'm just me
I've got rock-a-blocks and find that if I'm stamping a large image I can't always get the whole image IYKWIM. I think it's just me though. When they do work, I love them. I sold my acrylic blocks when I bought them, so I use the cover of a CD case for large images. I also find it easier to stamp on a hard surface having tried putting something soft underneath before like a mouse mat. Hope this makes sense.
Love, Sarah xoxo

Messy is my middle name!
I have both but to be honest I use acrylic blocks more than the rocka blocks.
I use an A4 peice of funky foam under my cardstock when I stamp and that works really well.

Thanks for the info Sarah, guess I'll have to experiment and think outside of the box. I think I might still have a mouse mat somewhere

I have a fiskars only because I got it cheap on here... and yes it works fantastically...
but you can just cut 4 small foam blocks that are the same height from any sponge and stick that to your clear block and it works the same way...

the additional thing I like about the fiskars thingy is the grid..you can like stuff up really nicely and it helps when you are over stamping
