Lucille does this make sense (see screenprint)
I always work in landscape because what I see on screen is where it cuts on the CS, it's a no brainer, working in portrait I can't be a* to keep remembering everything is back to front

With regard to Inkscape I've yet to work on the size of the cutting area and where it is in relation to what you see on the screen, I will get round to it but for now I have a rough idea and for me working in landscape is seems to be central horizontally on screen and to the left, but I was cutting a large card at the time and I think it almost fills the cutting are, because on a test cut I nudged it down slightly and that side didn't cut, so I do know I can't position anything along the bottom edge of the on screen work space, if that makes any sense .

How do you change Inkscape page to show a Landscape version??

Its Ok Lucille just re-read other posting entitled Inkscape preference. for your continued assistance.....

Just added the actual design page and result of 1st cut and 2nd cut after reshuffle. Hope this is a help for others....

    wink Inkscape Grid lines

Is there a way I can get grid lines to appear in Inkscape like you can when using the Robomaster programme, so that I can better position a design for the correct position for cutting; guesswork ain't working at the moment......

File/Document Properties/Grid You can then choose how you want it to look - spacing and have lines or dots

Can you give us clue as to where we place the design without part of it being chopped off please?
