Master of cut and paste!
'Meetup' website for scrapbooking?
I just joined this website -- one of those social networking thingys -- and used scrapbooking and cardmaking as two of my meetup searches. I've already had three replies. Has anyone else tried it? Just wondering what to expect.... how it really works....and what do I do now?
I'm not posting a link as it probably isn't allowed, but it's really amazing. You join, put in your categories of interests, your location (just area, not full address), then other people searching on those categories (i.e. scrapbooking) will see your name with your location and they can contact you for a 'meetup'. This has possibilities, I think, for finding scrapbook friends.

Master of cut and paste!
Just as a follow up since I've had a few PMs (and run out of space there very quickly), to find this it's the usual http://www and then the word 'meetup' with a dot and com.
It's a great way to find friends for shared interests. I suppose the ultimate aim is a face-to-face but I just joined a group for American southerners living in Britain (just to show how specific it can get) called 'Bicuits n Gravy' (a much-loved southern dish) and most of them are in London but not all. I'm still waiting for contacts for a local book club but am amazed at the size of this thing!
Happy meeting up!

hi. Just looked here and there is someone local and they only joined today. Wonder if they looked at your link.
