Ive ordered white...but thats for stamping words etc onto dark card stock...
saddle brown & stone grey for stamped images...
Now to check on my texteured cardstock supply!
I couldn't decide between WHSmith ones, Derwent and Caran D'ache...
Not sure if this is of any use to anyone, but...
When I bought my watercolour pencils the other year I had no clue which brand to go with. How do you know if one is considered better than another? You don't. So, feeling that it was a bit of an investment (rather than something you buy new each week) I joined several big watercolouring forums.
I asked them for advice on which set of watercolour pencils to go for and had lots of helpful advice from people. The general opinion was (and this was by a huge margin) that the watercolour pencils by Caran D'ache were the best ones (over brands like Derwent etc). I was told you should invest in a good set from the start rather than "wasting your money on cheaper ones that you replace". Also the general opinion was to go for a set with at least about 30 pencils if you could afford it.
I was specifically adviced by lots of people to go for the "Supracolor Soft" Watercolour Pencils set by Caran D'Ache. So that is what I bought. It comes in a nice tin with 40 pencils and is marked "Supracolor Soft" (though on the pencils themselves it says "Supracolor II Soft").
Of course it's always a matter of personal opinion etc, but since I put a lot of research into this and got such an overwhelming response to go for Caran D'ache I thought I might as well share the info with you at least.
Hope this was of help for someone
