Trust me....I'm full of scrap!

Pam Thorburn
I went to my first scrapbook shop the other day and really enjoyed looking at stuff IRL, however I came away thinking that all this pre made stash, especially quotes, made the whole thing very sanitised and commercialised and it just didn't feel right to buy a lot of the stuff. I still spent over £100 but it was on basics- paper, glue, inks, acrylics, stamp pads etc. My favourite LO is all cardstock, stamped title, and cheap flowers from Poundland, the whole LO must be around the £1 mark

On a Stash Diet !!!

Smile!
I've been thinking about this lately and I'm going on a complete spending ban, apart from adhesive, for the next few months so I use up things I already have. There, I've said it now, I'm going to have to stick to it
Polymer clay(Fimo etc) can be very cost effective for making your own embellishments. If you've got old Fimo which has gone a bit hard, try sitting on it for a bit, in it's packet, as your body temperature will warm it up just enough :lol

Lol, I've just come back from America and it's the photos from my trip there that I want to make into my first scrapbook.
Mind you, I did discover the craft section in Walmart and bought them out of rubber stamps and embossing powders .... just wish I'd had a bit more forethought.
Mmmmm, how to get hubby to agree to a Christmas Florida trip.....

Dedicated Scrapper
Charity shops are the best. I've got loads of threads, buttons, interesting buckles for using with ribbons, charms off belts, all sorts. Perhaps not acid free but if that's not a worry then you can get some real bargains for less than 50p!
