Hiya Fred - I live in Sheffield and there is a scrapaholics meeting held at Beauchief baptist church - tomorrow (sat 19th) is the next one - 10.30 to 3.30 - and is organised by Joanne (frenchie9920).... if you want to contact her for more info - or look on the scrapaholics.co.uk website (sorry, no good at fancy links!)... think the December one is on the 10th. Very friendly - great to chat, meet others and pick up some tips ideas.. why not give it a try??

Oh, you're a STAR!!! I've just had a call from my husband saying he had the opportunity for a free trip to the football tonight and I've got the day to myself tomorrow because he'll be looking after our toddler.

    I'll try to pm her.

    Thanks, Fred.

Oh. I don't have anything to bring. What would I need?

I think I might have to wait till the next time. I have NOTHING to bring. I don't even think I'll have any photos big enough as I'm waiting for some printer cartridges to come through the post.

Still, the 10th's not so far away if I'm going to be around. And I can always try to work out how to put a picture of a feather on the page. Plenty to be getting on with...

Hi Fred - have sent you a pm. Dont worry about bringing loads of stuff - you can watch Joanne do a demo - alcohol inks I think she said this time... there are lots of magazines you can read, quickutz or sizzix to cut alphabets/shapes from ready for your layout... get ideas from others. Everyone is always happy to loan stuff or give you bits if you have forgotten stuff or dont have it yet.... Look forward to seeing you when you can make it!!

Okay, I'll be there. I'm feeling pretty nervous and shy though. May just hide at the back...

Once I've worked out how to get there that is!

Thanks again. I'm really nervous but looking forward to it. x

I MIGHT forgive you for (almost) pinching my name - but only if you promise to do a LO soon and post a picture! We love piccies.........

Bet you aren't named after your car which is named after the cocktail.

    Welcome, Blue Moon!
Crops & classes are definitely a good way to start. Even if you're quite a crafty person, and have some good ideas (as you seem to with your AA LO ) it's nice to have some company & people to say things like "How about putting that ribbon/brad/sticker/photo here, instead of there?"
Good luck at the Crop & see you around on the boards!

First can I ask what Fred is short for? I'm an onomastic (name lover) as well as a scrapfreak!
I began scrapping this summer and this place gave me so many great tips - you're all wonderful
    I started off with for:
adhesives: photo corners, glue dots and pritt stick
papers: plain cardstock and worked my way up to patterned and vellums
embellishments: I got a whole bag of different embellishment for a fiver on e-bay, it is great for picking up cheap scrapping bargains!
albums: try TK maax, they're only £7.99 for 12x12 or Scrapbox.com

    hope i helped
