Rub-On's - Advice please!
Hi there,
Can anyone offer me some advice with a rub-on that has gone wrong?!
I'm using a fabric Colorbok album, and yesterday added some rub-on words to the front. Today, I've noticed that the words are coming off, and this seems to be made worse by the plastic cover the album is in (I thought this would protect it!).
It looks pretty awful now, so my question is am I able to remove the rest of the words cleanly? Is there an easy way to do this? What I don't want is to make it even worse, so I have to buy another album and waste this one (it's a gift for my Mum's 70th, so needs to be lovely!).
Any advice you can offer would be grately received.
Many thanks,
===
Tracy.

Try using a low tack masking tape

Thanks, Jo - I'll give this a try.
Any ideas where I'm going wrong, or is this a known problem with rub-on's?
Thanks,

Depends what sort of rub-on it is Tracy - some are better than others.

It's one of Brenda Walton's that came in a QVC kit - very pretty, but the text is quite thin and delicate.
Probably shouldn't have used it as my first attempt but the sentiment was very apt! ('Memories to Treasure').

I used the same rub-on on one of my Lo and it did the same thing. Must have been a bad bath or something. I haven't used the rest of them in case it happens again.
