    Metallic rub-ons

I love the looks you can get with metallic rub-ons (the creamy ones as opposed to transfer-type ones ) but can't get them to stay where they are supposed to - they always seem to rub off as well.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

If using on card/paper, you turn it over (onto scrap paper) and rub on the back so the excess comes off. As for anything else, I would love to know too cos it goes everywhere!

I paint over a really thin layer of Anitas 3D glaze, doesnt go too shiney and seals in the cream.

The hairspray method is best for me, I used rub-on metalics years ago on other crafts when we used a spray on sealer, hairspray is the nearest alternative (cheaper too)
