no matter how big i make some fonts(like scriptina) im finding it difficult to hand cut, then if i do manage it is very thin and hard to attach.

scriptina is the most trickiest font to cut in the world my darling unless you have a craft robo.

To stick, what I do it get a pin - YES A PIN!!!! and dip it in glue and "dot" it alone the font ready to stick down.

I cut out titles for as little as a pound, if you are completely desperate.

check it out HERE hun and its not a hint - just wanna help!

I remember I took one look at the first title I printed out in Scriptina and decided that it looked way to difficult to cut so never did. One of the ladies at my regular crops I call the stencil queen. She has lots and lots of different alphabet stencils and she is just a wizz as hand cutting her titles. She just uses a regular craft knife and a self healing craft mat, though I have heard that a glass mat is supposed to work well as the blade then only has to go through the card and then it glides on the glass. I would always recommend a "proper" craft knife and not one of those hardware type knives with the snap of blades. I think you need a bit of flexibility in the blade.

I did a class on this recently, given by CarolynUK, so you could always give her a shout. I was totally hopeless at it but she did have some great advice re: knives and blades.

Totally agree with Kihaku - a glass plate instead of a cutting mat made a world of difference! (You can even use a clipframe from a pound shop!)

I use scissors, can't get to grips with a knife (I have tried ) and find it therapeutic

If anyone has tried with a craft knife and finds this too difficult, then try getting hold of a pair of decoupage scissors.

They're small sharp scissors that curve up at the end.

I know that probably sounds strange, but they are a whizz for cutting out anything fiddly.
