Could any one tell me if this is a good deal?

I'm quite new, and I loved the idea of using eyelets after seeing a demonstration on idea world. Is this a good price or could i find them anywhere for a better price?

c&c charge you quite a lot for postage. you might be better browsing the sponsors as lots have eyelets and some sell them in small quantities

if you're looking at item 912 908, then I wouldn't. Unless you plan to use MM eyelets most of the time, most people seem to find it easier (and quieter) to use a Silent Setter (but if you really want the hammer version, then I've a redundant set I would consider selling!)

914 774 seems to be the same, except it includes a Braddle -- and I don't even know what one of those is, so definitely not an essential

914 770 actually looks quite expensive for eyelets to me -- even before adding on the postage. but that's as much because I prefer to pick my own colours as for any other reason! (And it doesn't appear to even say how many eyelets in total or per pack, which makes it harder to judge!)

i agree i wouldnt buy from there but only because the postage is rediculous.

i got my set from lakeland when it was on special but im regretting it now as i should have got a silent setter because i never get to use mine with a 3 year old constantly napping

The card forum I'm also a member of would be almost unanimous in voting for the Silent Setter, and I've also seen a lot of mention of that one on this forum in the 9 days I've been a member here!

Any of the sponsors at the bottom of the home page will be able to help you. If you have a shop near to you or a crop so you could try before you buy I would recommend that approadh as not everyone loves the silent setter.

I find the silent setter difficult to use (my wrists are weak and feeble!) but I have the MM eyelet set (in tin with hammer) and the new MM instant setter (like a KF clickit) and like it... but miss the pleasure from banging...

I'd vote for the Silent Setter, especially if you can get "quicklets" - they are very soft aluminium eyelets that you can supposedly set with a pen.

I have arthritis in my hands and use the above two items constantly-I that said it is a personal choice. I have the MM hole punch and setter and never use them - too much effort and much too noisy.

Many of the sponsors sell the Silent Setter and you get a case and a sample 50 eyelets with it. I sent to America for my quicklets (they were cheap) but I think some of the sponsors do them but don't know who!
