    Snap Problems

    I have bought some pretty snaps MM ones and thought id be able to use my silent setter to fix them, but no it doesn't work!!!!!! How can i set them please?

    I think the silent setter works best on "softer" eyelets and snaps( aluminium ones). MM ones seem to be too hard. Someoen correct me if I am wrong.

    Have you got a hammer and eyelet setting tool as well?
    No other suggestions, sorry

    I find I get better results if I push down hard on the Silent Setter and then 'wriggle/twist' it a bit -- sorry that's not a very technical description

    This is the only flaw in the SS, it doesn't like the hard MM eyelets and snaps. Which is a shame because they're all so nice lol! I find I can sometimes set them if I stand up and push, or otherwise I turn the SS around and bash down with the handle (a tip shown to me by Linz at Crafty Pastimes).
