Sprinkle a little happiness wherever you go
You could try his website first - www.timholtz.com His DVD costs £20 and is available from quite a few of the sponsors He also has a book out, but I think if you were quite new to his stuff you'd get more and learn more from the DVD, IMHO...

Can anyone who saw a demo of the new distressed embossing powders please help me? My local stamping store, really, really good one, Create and Craft on Saturday mornings will give you a clue(not a sponsor), stocks the distress inks and distress embossing powders and I bought the Milled Lavender but I don't seem to get the powder to stick very well, it works well with ordinary embossing ink. Trying to remember the QVC show I thought he said you could use the distress inks with the distress powder or is there a special embossing distressed ink?

He said that the powders will work best with his inks. When you say they don't stick very well, do you mean before you heat it or after. They are supposed to rub away bits afterwards, and won't give a clear crisp image like ordinary embossing powders.

Before you heat it, maybe I am expecting too much, i think perhaps I need to work the ink pad in a bit, also I have used lilac on lilac paper so it is quite hard to see.

Have a bash on some darker paper so you can see a bit better. Mine I hope will be here tomorrow I'm dying to have a play.
