    Alternative to lunchboxes

Ok, being too late to get an Asda lunchbox (because I didn't know I wanted one 'till they'd sold out), I found this alternative.

It is a DVD box from my local pound shop and cost, well, £1.00!

I don't know if the shop is a chain, it's called "everything £1 or less" I think and it's big... (used to be a Lidl).

I made this to package some presents for a baby, inside are a DVD (Baby Mozart, a must for every new parent!) and a baby grow.

I decorated with Chatterbox papers and tag (I think all from Surprise Supplies kit), homemade letter buttons, Heidi rub-ons and Heidi font, o yes, and shrink plastic little feet and some ribbon.

I've already bought another one today, but would like to get the rivets off the front bookplate as that would make it much easier to decorate. Not much luck so far though...

Yeah, I got them off! Managed to get pincers between the rivets and the bookplate, and cut them off. Not sure that that would have worked with an eyelet setter? There were two parts to each of them, and they were stuck inside each other very tightly. Also, it's a bit harder as I couldn't access the back that was inside the box.

    Thanks,

    Karin

Very nice. I did the same thing with a couple of boxes from Au Naturelle. I added handles to the top to attach the ribbons to and it was fun to do!
