    'setting' blending chalks

DS has been 'testing' my chalks with some Xmas stencils and wants to use them to make some Xmas cards. What's the best way to set the chalk? I've heard hairspray suggested but hairspray smelling cards??

You could always get odourless hairspray !

I can't believe you trust your hubby to use your things - mine broke two of my shapecutter blades last night 'just testing' it !!!

I can top that, I went to a crop with my mother last week and bought a box of chalks. She insisted on testing them first, picked the pom pom up on the edge and within seconds it had fallen apart... and she's supposed to be careful with crafty things!

Hairspray it is then. Hubby wouldn't go near anything crafty, twas my dear son age 7. He did alright, only the table cloth suffered, will give him a very large mat next time!
