I saw in a recent mag, someone doing a firework LO with staples to imitate the firework. WHS do dome coloured staples if that help.

    Toothbrush and paint ?

I second the one with the staples, I saw a mag that used coloured staples and thought the idea looked very effective. What about gel/glitter pens.

Do Mandy & Ellie do the Gelly Roll pens? Cos that range has some sparkly glittery ones that are specially designed to work well on dark paper....

Or Jack could cut out strips and stars from shiny paper - foil would be good, and perhaps you've got some Christmassy stuff lying around??

Thanks ElaineD & Hils!, Jack is busy making a star book (like the one we learnt how to make on Saturday but a complete one rather than half) He has done it all by himself with me just reading the instructions alongside him. I'm so proud of him!
He's got to decorate it inside with firework safety stuff & Guy Fawkes info.
So all the hints & tips are going down really well & he sends a big thankyou. Julia

Haven't put anything on the gallery before but once Jack has finished the book will try. He's doing so well with it & is excited too because nobody else at school will have done the same as him! Julia

There was a technique in one of the scrap mags a while ago (I'm sure you have it Julia! ) and somebody at this weekend's retreat used it as well and I've been meaning to. Use your eyelet hole punch to create holes on your page and back with white/coloured paper, so no eyelets used just the holes. You/Jack could draw curved lines to represent the fireworks, then puch the holes in different sizes, starting with the largest hole finishing with the smallest. Clear as mud?! I'm in the shop tomorrow if you want to pop in.

Thanks Ellie, I'll tell Jack. He's doing this all by himself & is doing it so well I bet his Teacher won't believe he didn't have help putting it together. Julia (Booby Badge Lady)
Probably will call into shop tomorrow!
