I really love Moorcroft pottery, I would love to have some, but up to now it's been out of my reach financially. Maybe one day.

    That's ingenious Mary. Good folding!
I love the Moorcroft too and most of the Sally Tuffin is mine. I've been collecting that for years but I won't get to keep all the Moorcroft pieces. I'm just enjoying them while I can. It seems a shame to have them wrapped in bubble wrap until they get split between the family. My sister and I will have the lions share but some of the pieces mean a lot to other family members so it's not fair to keep it all. My boys don't want it so I can always bequeath my pieces to my nieces..hopefully they won't get their hands on it for a while yet! I'm not a lover of Clarice Clift either Mary..and fortunately neither was Mum. She had a couple of pieces but got rid of them a while ago so we don't have to now.
We had a good meeting with the solicitor handling Mums estate earlier today and she said I can start to get rid of her belongings..not the house yet, but the contents, so while my sister is away (she's going to Oz to see her daughter for six weeks at the end of the month) I can start to clear furniture etc. It'll be hard but it's got to be done. Doing it on my own will probably be easier as whenever my sister and I get together we seem to set each other off crying. It's Mums birthday in 2 weeks so I am trying to arrange a family get together on the day.

I have an unusual chain and locket that was my grandmother’s she died in 1951 the photo of her in the locket was taken at my parents wedding in 1938. Don’t know anything about it so think it would be worth taking it to a jewellers to see if they can date it and also to get it repaired. Anyway I’m classing it as OLD

    That’s very unusual Mary, lovely

Elaine, hope that you can get things sorted at your moms.
It’s an enormous task, I know. There was nothing in my dad’s flat that
either my brother or I wanted, apart from personal stuff, photos etc.
So we got a charity to come and they took the lot, which was a relief,
and saved us hours of work.
Dad has been dead nearly 3 yrs now and we only just got his estate settled in
January! What with one thing and another, it’s been hard going.
Hope it doesn’t take you as long.

Something else that is old. My Teddy.
I’ve had him since I was very young, so he must be over 70 yrs old.

I took this photo at 10 this morning such beautiful cloud formation and something strange, under the jet stream there is a faint darker line like a shadow or a break in the clouds almost like a reversal of the jet stream

Mr Ted is lovely that was my one regret as a child I never had a teddy, I had a golly and several dolls but not a teddy. I probably never expressed my desire for one or if I did perhaps they were hard to come by during the war

I think mine may have been passed down Mary, because as you said, they were
    hard to come by then.
Those clouds are lovely and unusual. Yes when you enlarge the photo I can see the darker line.
    They would make good pp
