Just thought I have a NEW photo. My son in law in a silly hat I bought him as
a stocking filler. He actually wore it out to lunch yesterday!
Needless to say, I wouldn’t let him wear it in the restaurant!!2A33265B-7ECE-4968-B6CF-83092EED194C.jpeg

    Glad youíre home safely Ellie.
Clever idea of the guillotine Susie..Iíve been using mine all day and never thought of it. Love your door handles too. I love the fact these threads allow me to be nosy around your homes..clever stair/dog gate too.
Mmmm..Iím very envious of your hot chocolate Mary..why? Well I popped into Costa earlier and the girl was behind the counter on her own. Apparently the manager had walked out and she was alone..which, as you know, these baristas take an age to make coffees etc. There were two people in front of me and both of them ordered multiple cups! I was pushing it for time so I had to leave! Grrr.. I made myself one with my new coffee maker that I received for Christmas..ooh..I need to show you now!
Lol Alison..I may be quicker but I bet yours are more perfect than mine, if you look closely two of the baubles didnít come through the die correctly. However, I decided to use them anyway. Iíll have to find some elderly, short sighted, people to give them to!
DH was back for two days just on light duties so heís not done anything strenuous yet.. heís got 2 weeks of that before he goes back Ďon the runí. It was getting up in the morning that was the biggest shock. Heís starting to talk about retiring now..lol
Right off to photograph the coffee maker..which makes hot chocolate too.. although I canít get the Black Forest one like I wanted of course. Sigh

Love the hat and the Llama Ellie and I love that your son-in-law wore it to go out.

I love being nosey too Elaine, of course the downside of that is hubby gets an earful when I tell him he needs to get some work done on the house because your houses all look so wonderful. I actually snorted with laughter when you mentioned about sending the slightly less than perfect bauble cards to short sighted people, so funny.

Did I mention the hamper we received with chocolate goodies, well, it has a salted caramel hot chocolate and I'd already bought the squirty cream and mini marshmallows but hubby hasn't tried it yet. I don't think too much dairy is good when you have been full of cold and he hasn't asked for one so far, so maybe he just doesn't feel like it. I think your body tells you what you want when you've been feeling poorly. One of our neighbours has spent the last week mostly in bed with a really bad chest infection. He is so active that if he has taken to his bed he must be ill, he's always on the go.

Tonight Bridge of Spies is on at 9pm and if you haven't seen the film I really recommend watching it. We'll be watching it again and we only saw it a few weeks ago. Mary Rylance is brilliant as is Tom Hanks.

Did any of you see There Is Nothing Like a Dame that was on a few nights ago? It was Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Eileen Atkins and Joan Plowright all being interviewed together. Superb bit of TV and they are obviously good friends but very funny, worth watching, it was on BBC2.

Right back to my knitting now, I had to come up to check YouTube to double-check on how to cast off knitting 3 stitches below. I've done this before but it is a while ago and I don't want to go wrong on the last row after picking up all these stitches. They just don't explain patterns the way they used to so there is a lot of to-ing and fro-ing in the pattern.

Looking forward to seeing the coffee maker Elaine and glad all went okay for DH's first couple of days back. I know it's early days yet and it is a shock going back to work after you've been off for a while but he'll soon adjust. Mind you, if he can afford to retire tell him to do it, then you can spend all that time together whilst you are both fit and able to enjoy it.

    Oh we crossed Susie.
Sorry, cant help with the knitting it’s something I never learned how to do.
A chocolate goodies hamper sounds perfect
And we love a dessert wine, will look out for that one

Love any film with Tom Hanks, he’s such a good actor. bridge of spies is a good one

I’m sure your friends won’t need to be short sighted Elaine, if you don’t see the cards next to each other you wouldn’t know one was different from another.

Oh dear Mary. Hope that you feel better after a good nights sleep.
I think that all the festivities and late nights take it out of you. I
know it does me. Go to bed early with a hot drink .
