    Afternoon,
DGS has had his bacon buttie and departed to Wales, but it was lovely
    to see him.
Yes Denise we had two Horses, which we bought for the youngest DD, who was
horse mad, and still is. She hadn’t one of her own now, but rides her friends one.

Had a laugh at the image of you going through the bins Alison
Sheila, that will be nice for both you and Mabel. Once a month is just right I think.

Love the quince photo and the clock handle Mary.

The aconite is beautiful Alison. I couldn't agree more with you regarding the amount of waste these days. When we changed our kitchen we had a black kettle and despite the fact that we should have had cream or white I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it just because it didn't really go. It conked out recently and I now have my new kettle but it lasted 8 years after the kitchen was done. Somethings are ingrained in us from childhood I think.

I need to go back and read some more but I'll give you an update.

I was having a lovely time until I came home checked my e-mail and I have a horrible phishing scam message demanding money in the next two days. It seems I've been going on lots of porn sites and someone has tracked it having made a virtual copy of my computer and following my webcam.

Obviously, it is a load of rubbish but the weird thing is I have been receiving a lot of e-mails from women (sex ones) all from my cousins e-mail address. she got hacked over a year ago, re-married and I don't know if she ever sorted out her e-mail but I have been getting messages supposedly from her since then. At Christmas I wrote to her to tell her about the e-mail and she has just e-mailed and asked me to get in touch with her using the HACKED email address!!! Guess what, I won't be contacting her at all.

Anyway, the scary thing is they've used my e-mail address, don't know how they do that and I've reported it to my internet provider. The e-mail said they've put malware on my computer so I ran Malwarebytes, the latest version and it's clean. Now I've left it with the IP to sort out and I'll ring Apple Tech support tomorrow and see what they say. I hate these people, they should all be taken out and put up against a wall in my opinion, you know what happens after that.

Meanwhile, I went for my tests, they double checked a few things and my eye pressure is back down and I don't need to change my glasses and the white stuff in my eyes is not dry macular degeneration it is drusen. This is just the rubbish your eyes clear out but for some reason mine is still hanging about, either way it is nowhere near the macular so in all he said my eyes really look rather healthy. Great news and such a relief.

Mum was a great knitter, so all our cardigans and jumpers were hand made. It is so back in fashion now. Mum could sew but didn't have a machine until late on, she was a lamp shade maker but that was all done by hand. I know we had an old singer treadle but I don't remember mum making anything on it.

Sheila that sounds like a lovely idea taking it in turns to cook for each other.

Oh that is scary Susie. It does make you wonder how they get your email!
And if they could use it for other reasons.!
Hope that they can sort it out.
It does make you think like that though.

Glad about your eyes. That must be a relief.
Wonder why they thought it was MD?

We crossed there. My gran had a singer treadle, and I used to push it
for her sometimes. She was a seamstress and made beautiful ball
gown for dancing competitions. I wonder if that’s why I like sequins and
    sparkle
Mom and gran used to knit. They would undo old knitted jumpers and
make new ones. Mom liked doing Faire Isle ( not sure that’s the correct
    spelling )

They don't have your e-mail Ellie, they make you think they have, It's called a Sexploitation Scam. Who knew but they do make you think they are using your e-mail. I know I haven't been on any porn sites, so knew that was a lie and my webcam is covered so I knew that part was a lie but people are falling for this scam. Probably mainly fellas who've been on porn sites, that'll teach 'em.

The reason I was originally told I had WMD was because of the bleed/bulge I had at the back of the eye. The hospital were quite confused because they said they only see this rare form of bleed in people 80-90 years old who have wet macular degeneration. But the bleed was never in the macular it was outside and very hard to spot, I was lucky. I know it was the cordless phones that caused all these problems, only in the right eye on the side of my head where I was holding the phone and had the burn marks on my face from the phone. I have so many weird things going on with the right eye but despite all the problems and the pain in the eye itself, it seems to be relatively healthy. I just have to keep an eye on it, (no pun intended) in case I have another bleed. So every time I get a new problem, different pain or new flashing lights, I go back and get it checked.

I used to make a lot of Fair Isle jumpers on my knitting machine. I could rattle out a jumper in an hour, it was great fun. I was even thinking of starting a small business for them but got ill and couldn't figure out how to use the machine after that and didn't have the energy to do it either. We only got rid of it a few years ago. Great idea to undo jumpers and re-knit though. I wonder if they washed the wool because it does stretch once it's been used. Even leaving it to sit for a while on needles makes the stitches stretch.

Gosh what a talent, making ball gowns, I have a friend who used to make wedding dresses, I don't think she does now.

Oh thanks for the info. I did wonder about the email.

You will certainly have to look out for more bleeds, and keep having it checked.

I had a knitting machine as well, but only did jumpers and cardies for the girls
    when they were little.
I do remember mom washing wool, because when it’s been undone, it’s all crinkly
and difficult to knit. I used to hold my hands out for her to wind the wool into balls.

Mum used to buy wool in skeins I think they were called, as your mum would have too and you had to hold out your hands as she unwound them and wound them into balls. It made your arms ache holding them up for so long, at least it felt like a long time when you were little didn't it Ellie. We had a wool shop called 'Mabe's the Mad Wool Shop.' I was always fascinated going into wool shops and seeing all those square storage boxes full of wool. You still see them today if you can find a wool shop and when I moved to Liverpool we had one just up the road, it was wonderful. We even had a knitting machine shop on the High Street - all gone now.

As for the email I will still speak to Apple Tech Support tomorrow and see what else I can find out.

I will keep on being careful because if I hadn't been getting varifocal glasses for my niece's wedding I wouldn't have been getting my eyes checked and may never have known about the bleed. I wasn't due for a test but Boots won't give me glasses unless I have an eye test simply because the M.E. changes my eyes all the time. I don't know how they get paid but I know they don't charge me even if I have a couple of tests a year. Even then, it was because the optometrist was so thorough that he found it, it didn't show up on the scan of the eye because that only checks the macular. St. Paul's couldn't believe anyone found it without specialist hospital equipment so I was lucky.

Off to be for a read now with my (so far) healthy eyes.

Wow, Ellie & Susie you've rekindled loads of memories for me re knitting, My mum used to was the wool after unpicking jumpers - she sometime bought them at jumble sales, and dresses then used to unpick them and make something for me. Off to Mabels in a minute, so will check in again later
