I've been busy today writing my Christmas cards and how happy am I that I took part in Beat the Christmas Rush?! If you've never heard of it - BtCR is a monthly challenge, here on UK Scrappers, where your challenge is to make five Christmas cards each month and share them on the thread. There have been some super cards on there and those of us who took part all year are feeling very smug that our cards were made in good time, with no last minute rush!

You'll find lots of inspiration in the Cards Gallery and here are a few of my favourites ...

BTCR is great, I’ve got 47 cards ready to write in today (I made a couple of cards for the ABC challenge too) so pretty pleased.
I’ll see if I’ve got enough then i’ll know my target for 2019
Doing a few cards each month is a great way to take the pressure off

BTCR is brilliant! I have diligently done my five each month, apart from October when my Mum died, but I have made some extra so I have made 60 so far.

I have been lurking for a few months and made some cards and gift card holders so thanks Sue and Ladies for all the inspiration, I now have just a few family ones to make and that's another tick on my list

Good morning Today I am going to have a look at all the Christmas stuff I have pinned on Pinterest - bet you have a pile of pins too! Why not share something from your board?

I have this snowflake wreath pinned as something I might make with the children on a rainy afternoon. I thought I can either cut glittery snowflakes on my Cricut - glitter card was half price when I was in Hobbycraft last week and it cuts like a dream and no shedding - or the children could make fold-and-cut flakes themselves

    aww what super tags.

Not a pinterest thing (my christmas enthusiasm hasnt got that far yet, though it might if i carry on like this) but I did put my tree up at the weekend and that has brought to mind another little heart warming story about my teamies, this one is a bit poignant though.

Our team member JanetLinda suffered from a nasty joint disease and couldnt do mcuh with her hands at all, however she was EXCELLENT at machine embroidering on her sewing machine and over the years made me several decorations like unicorns, gingerbread man etc and then last year she made each memeber of our team their own different embroidered jumper as a show of team solidartity - mine had snowflakes on it, i suspect because i ski and live near the mountains. They were all different designs but all the same jumper and we all got one. Sadly Janet died this year, and will be long remembered and missed by lots of people, not just our team, she was I know, a regular poster on UKS too.

So this year we are all going to hang our jumpers up in memory of Janet, and think of her a bit, I think she would have liked that.

heres mine anyway, hanging on the tree in memory of Janet.

How lovely. I liked Janet and I always admired her fabulous embroidery skills. You are lucky to each have one.
