Yes please, I'd love to join a team

I am a returner to UKS and a team , life just got busy and Madame Mojo moved out for a while! I live in Edinburgh, the Mr has retired and we became proud owners of a VW California camper van last year, so we've had lots of adventures already - all well worthy of scrap booking. I still work full time and i've had a very stressful few years so working to a better life-work balance. I love my garden and I'm a daydreamer and Queen of faffing. I love mixed media collage work and gelli printing

Love the idea of Scrappers return, works well with a wee G&T too

    Hello lou, and welcome.

Ladies, it's time to fix on a name (as Scrapdolly gently reminded us). So: "Crafters Return" or "Scrappers Return" - which will it be??

Good Morning Lou [waving ]. Welcome, glad you are joining us, {waving again.
I like the name "Crafters Return" as we all do a variety of crafts. We are going to a craft fair at a castle today, taking our camper van and having Becca's favourite van lunch "Hot dogs".

Well, shall we be Crafters Return then?

I am definitely going to do a JYC this year, after failing for the last 3-4 years. I'm determined to go easy on myself though, with a slightly different, more relaxed, approach to it. I've got all my "date" embellishments made. My manifesto will be short and not very ambitious . Anyone else JYC-ing apart from lou?

I've managed to make cards too this year, although I have shop-bought ones to use up. The home-made ones will go to people who will appreciate them!

    I'm happy with Crafters Return.

I have made christmas cards to sell in the shop, so should have a few spare to send to family and crafty friends, but can always make more. I've made them on the Cricut this year although they are pop-up so a little fiddly to put together. Not doing a j-y-c, mainly because I hadn't heard of it . Now I shall have to find out what it involves!

Tina - JYC is a class run by Shimelle, membership is for life, so each year you get new prompts and videos to follow. I think its great value . I'm doing A5 this year

Made some very mixed media/collage type cards for my family - should have done mini canvases - they have taken me ages - but I've really enjoyed having the time to play and faff

Good Morning Ladies, I had a lovely time at the Fair, shattered when we got home. I have made good progress with my JYC. the album is 8x8 and I started it last year but life got in the way and I just wrote in my note book and turned it into a planner style thingy. I have decorated the front, made my numbers and my manifesto page, last night I made a calendar out of 2x2 squares and decorated a notebook but we also have started to put up our decorations [ that usually takes days] so might get a bit behind. we have had our first sprinkling on snow last night but all gone this morning. I think we all have made cards this year, yours sound interesting Lou. Have a nice day

Ah, I used to like Shimelle’s stuff ‘ back in the day’, might have to take a closer look. I may or may not have time to do all of it, but if it’s an ongoing thing that might make it more feasible for me.

I’m in the shop on my own today ( my business partner and I share the running of it), probably going to make the last few glass tree decorations of the year, then I can think about stock for the new year.

Chris, glad you had a good time. We are planning on putting our tree up tonight, the earliest we have ever done so! We are going away for the weekend, and wanted to make sure it was up for when our girls come home from Uni next weekend.

JYC has changed so much now. Shimelle puts up a video each day of how she makes her pages. I like it as it is like a project life style. Have you an etsy shop or photos of your work I love glass beads. Have a nice weekend away. Day 2 of putting up our tree in the kitchen. How is the weather, we haven't got above 2 degrees for days, it looks lovely with a frost everywhere but so cold. Have a nice day.

I would love a frost, we rarely get them here. It's wet and windy today, but also my day off so I'm staying in the warm and dry. Yes, I sell my beads on Etsy as Bearhouse Beads, and Mand and I have an online shop for our real shop, Saltwater Studio Pembroke (dot co dot uk) if you want a nosey.

Good morning ladies. Do you have a team leader please? And have you decided upon your team name?

Well, there seems to be a consensus on Crafters Return as the team name. No-one has actually volunteered as a team leader yet, we're all too shy
