Well spotted Ellie, you must be feeling better or hallucinating.

Great photo's Mary, you don't realise how many lines there are until you start looking. I was going to do the radiator it was the first thing that came to mind but will leave that now.

Elaine, I am so sorry you are having problems. I would have thought everything would have been sorted well before now, you sound as though you've been let down very badly.

I'll try my photo's again, odd how sometimes they just don't work, here goes...

The lines of the little notepad above could have been for last month's miniature prompt. At least I'm hoping it is a reminder to make a note of the readings.

Both hubby and I are feeling sick today but we were out with the masses shopping yesterday, you have no idea what people are passing on. Hopefully, it is something and nothing but we've taken ginger so we'll see. The ginger will take the nausea away but it won't stop a virus sadly. Gastric flu can often last just a day or two but you do have to be careful it was one of the things that kicked off the M.E. for me and it is a common cause with lots of people.

It was a long ladder and he seems to be leaning to one side which was a bit worrying, but hey ho it was outside and telephone lines.

Love it Mary. It’s a beautiful LO. I bet you felt a great sense of achievement, on doing it, but
also it must have been very emotional... well done, a fitting memorial walk for John.

Susie, I couldn’t have taken the ginger, I just felt so Ill.
I’m now eating a little, so I’ve had one today. Also a piece of toast for lunch, and
    a baked potato for dinner,.
I didn’t know that’s how your ME started!! I think I must have got this from the
    hotel environment at the weekend.

Such a beautiful LO Mary and I hope it's not wrong of me to say I think you are so brave, the way you grasp life with both hands. The LO is a wonderful tribute to John.

Ellie, I know what you mean. When hubby has a migraine which is rare these days, he has to be sick and trying to stop it with ginger does no good, it only postpones it. Once he's been sick everything starts to feel better. It did get rid of my nausea from before but when you are really ill you simply can't keep water down let alone taking capsules or tablets. Hubby couldn't take pain killers for his head because they'd just come back up again - awful.

Yes, it started with a bout of gastric flu that only lasted 2 days but I couldn't shake off the tiredness and then 3 months later just as I felt I was improving I got it again. It was downhill after that and then I caught glandular fever and that finished me off completely.

Mary, I didn't even know what that little box thing on the BP machine was and then I realised it was to remind me to make a note of the reading in the little book they supply.

Lots of fireworks going off here, must go and check on the boys.

That was a lot going on Susie. You must have been susceptible after that first bout.
I was like DH when I had migraines. I had to be sick, a just lay down in a dark room,
with a cold compress on my forehead.

Lots of fireworks going off here too.
We were lucky with our dogs, none of them were bothered about
fireworks. Lucy would sit on the window sill and watch the display
    with us

It is now 16.5 years since John died and you do have to get on with life but it did take a lot to go on holiday on my own.

We know someone who is just like you Mary. A couple of years ago she took herself off on a holiday to Cuba, all on her own, I was amazed and full of admiration for her. It takes a lot of guts to move on with your life after such a loss.

Ellie, I must get hubby back on the feverfew tablets they stop migraines although I think this was linked to his neck and all the work he did on the lights in the bathroom and then my neighbour's lights. Tilting the head back with arthritis in the neck can trigger these things. It is always an icepack, Syndol and a dark room for migraines and I mustn't go and ask him if he's okay now matter how much I want to help. His migraines went away for years after taking feverfew so maybe he needs some more now for a while.

My Mum used to travel on her own all the time after Dad died too. She used to go everywhere..coach trips, foreign holidays..she even went to Canada on her own for Millennium eve. She watched fireworks over Niagara Falls..and flew on Concorde a couple of times..she even took my sons on Concorde once..for a flight around the Bay of Biscay, lunch, then home again. Lucky things! She also loved taking her grandChildren away with her too. As she was widowed so young she was young enough and fit enough to take the kids with her..sometimes up to 5 kids at a time!!!. Her travels are featuring in her eulogy quite heavily..and how her GCís remember all those trips so well. Such fond and happy memories. I think after Dad died she started living her life for two people..she certainly packed so much in!
I went to the Chalel of rest yesterday.,then wished I hadnít. She didnít really look like Mum and now I have to get that image out of my head..so here I am wide awake in the middle of the night again!
I did manage to say some more things though and I know everything has been said..now I just have to get through Monday!
Iím babysitting sitting my BIL for the day (Saturday) so my SIL can go out for a change of scene. I could do with the distraction.
