Not a scrapper, a card and boxer.
Designer Edition
I have seen lots of lovely SVG files which don't open with the basic Studio software but is it worth the extra money? Has anyone ungraded? I know you can open svg's with inkscape and save them as something else so that you can open them in studio but I have tried that and it wouldn't work for me, or more likely, I wasn't doing it properly.
Are the extra design tools useful?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I upgraded to DE and think it's worth it. I have now upgraded to BE. If prefer to
use Inkscape you need to open the SVG and resave as a dxf to use in the free version of Studio

No I don't prefer to use Inkscape, I tried it and didn't understand it at all, I couldn't get it to work with silhouette. I think i'd find DE a lot easier.
Thanks Doreen.

Thanks Doreen.
You're welcome. There are so many free SVG's it's worth having the DE for those
