Reminds me of that song...Nothing but blue skies, from now on. Not a plane in sight but the sky is blue.

Absolutely Ellie. The problem was there were about five planes all flying in different directions and by the time I'd decided which one I needed to photo, they must have all gone.

    Lol..great sky though!
I do love some Love in a Mist..we don’t have any in this garden so you’ve reminded me I should add some! Heucheras are good for shade Susie. They come in all sorts of colours and because it’s the leaves that give you the colour they provide it all year round. My favourite is one called Key Lime Pie and it has bright green leaves which gives a real pop of colour in a dark corner. You can get red ones, orange ones etc too. The flowers are pretty insignificant but the leaves are great all year round. They don’t die back in the winter.
Had a bad day yesterday. Took my Mum to her usual appointment for blood tests and hormone injection and when I got there I didn’t think she looked right but we went along as usual and then discover she had a high temperature, low oxygen levels, severe anaemia (again) and pneumonia! They have admitted her and she is having oxygen, blood transfusion and IV antibiotics. I was at the hospital for 6 hours with her. I have got to phone to see how she is in a minute. It never rains but it pours.

Oh no Elaine, more worry!! Your poor mom, she has gone through the mill a lot just
lately, hadn’t she. Hope she’s feeling better when you phone. Let us know how
    she is.

I’ve tried to grow Heucheras many times. All different colours, but they have been
lovely the first year, but then died after that. I think it must be too cold up here
for them .i agree the Key Lime Pie one is such a bright lovely green. It brightens
up any dark space. I like the orangey red ones as well

Afternoon ladies, Elaine, sorry to hear about your poor Mum, hope she makes a speedy recovery. Lovely photo's. Yvonne & Doug came over yesterday and Doug & I did some more work in the garden - it was freezing cold and grey out, but today it's bright sunshine. He cut the top off my big tree and it's got 9 trunks, LOL. I'm off out later to have my nails done for the wedding on Saturday. Went to the AGM for the social club last night, which was good. Catch up later, hope you all have a good day

Oh Denise, that is so strange but you know I believe in these things. Lately I have been dreaming of people I haven't though about in years, very random odd dreams and the next day I will get a call about that person. It seems to have stopped again now, it never used to be dreams it would be that I'd suddenly think about someone I hadn't seen in years and the next thing I'd get a call to say they'd died. Be nice to think your grandmother is watching over you, that's the way I'd look at it.

So sorry to hear about your mum Elaine, I know what a bumpy ride it is, just when everything seems to calm down everything spirals out of control again. I hope she is soon on the mend and home again.

I do love blue flowers Sandra and we have forget me nots in the garden but they go mouldy very quickly after they've flowered and I have to pull them out.

Tons to do today so must check out the other threads and then get on.

I'm making a note of these plants for the border, I have to get some colour back. When I have a minute I will dig out those photo's and you'll see how dire it has all become and how colourful it all was.
