Apparently so, yes! I hope he won’t be driving again though!
Some more flowers from me, a periwinkle (Vinca) a Lisodora and a Veronica called Ionian skies (which I adore)

Beautiful Elaine. I’ve think I’ve got some of the small blue flowers.
Is it a creeper? Always wondered what it was called!
My Veronica isn’t in flower yet, and it’s a deep blue one.
I was hoping to get some photos from Harlow Carr Gardens today, but
DH has got the dreaded Sciatica again, and can hardly walk this morning.
So going to put it off for some other time !

My little Veronica is an alpine variety..it’s only about 8” tall and it has formed a lovely clump. I think the Lisodora is a clump forming one..I don’t think it creeps. The periwinkle does though.

Such pretty flowers Elaine and wow, to that photo from yesterday. I hope the gentleman was okay, shock is a terrible thing despite any injuries he may have received.

We were gardening again yesterday and it was crazy because at 6am I'd had to get hubby to massage my back and then I go out and do more bending, but the back border is done (no pun intended). It is a deep border and I planted that up and sent hubby next door to clear out neighbour's garden because that will need planting up next. Then when we came in last night he massaged my back again and that eased it enough for me to get some sleep. Mind you, we had some German wine and that no doubt relaxed some muscles.

If I can plant up another border in the front today, then I'll only have the central border to do but can't do it until we remove the Goshiki and plant a new evergreen and then we putting bedding plants round that. Burleydam have some standard Rhodies and a standard Carpintaria coming in, in 2 weeks time so it may have to wait until then. But they have a BOGOF on bedding plants at the moment, so we may go there tomorrow because by then I'll know who needs what. Sister needs bedding plants too.

So sorry to hear that DH's sciatica is bad again Ellie. I've just had a thought, I'll be in touch.

    Thanks for the info Susie.
Did you get to Burley Dam today. If you did, did you buy anything?
Ken’s leg wasn’t too bad this afternoon, it’s very intermittent, so we nipped
to the garden centre and bought two standard Fuchsias. To put in the side border, to
give it a bit of height.

Oh overdoing it is my middle name I'm afraid Denise, but you're right, it is that time of year. I swapped a few plants around so I could get my new Mallow in which is lilac and I haven't taken a photo to show you, it is so pretty. I dug up a bleeding heart right in the middle of flowering, I'm so cruel but I couldn't wait for it to go over. I ran out of plants in the end so bedded up some more of my neighbours garden.

It's Burleydam tomorrow Ellie, who knows what 'plants' I might come back with. I'm glad you managed to get out for a while though, you feel the day isn't wasted if you've achieved something and at least for a little while your DH's pain level was such that he could get out.

The house is completely wrecked, we have trailed Laburnum and Chestnut flowers through time and again and we both came in caked in mud. Just had a wash and got changed now time to eat.

My sister sent me this and I thought it was so funny that I'd share it with you. You may have seen it before but I hadn't and before you ask Elaine, no it isn't our ASBO dogs.

    brilliant Susie!
I’m off on a U3A trip today. Visiting a National Trust House, a Heritage house and Hunting for wild orchids! Shame because we had really heavy rain last night so we will get wet feet! Mum is having to fend for herself!

    Morning.
Be good to get away for a bit Elaine.
Here’s a little glass dish. Was my moms.
It’s either for butter or jam, not sure which.

I’m so proud of one of my DGS.
Today he went to Buckingham Palace to receive his Duke Of Edinburgh Award.
