Elaine, photographers can be so sneaky. We were sitting in the wedding car and it was a limousine so the seats were sort of at right angles and I was wondering how the photographer was going to get us all in and then I realised. When I asked him if it was a wide angle lens he laughed and said I wasn't supposed to notice. The people on the end just look awful and he used the same lens in the vestry. I was lucky as my niece had asked me to sign the register to witness their signatures, so I was by the bride but the rest of the family on the outskirts look silly.

I'm re-doing her album and that sort of photo will be cropped and I'll find better photo's so everyone looks their best on her big day. Of course, that's not to say I won't use the bit I've cropped as a funny birthday card in the future. I've got a cracking one for my sister's birthday which I'll post later on this week because, Yes I am that cruel.

Sunny here but it could go either way.

I took some last photo's over the weekend but haven't shared them yet so must do that before the day ends and we go into MAY! Where is this year going.

A few last photo's taken over the last day or two. I'm so happy that the trees are coming into leaf because they are having building work done over the way and can only see it from my craft room window but shortly I won't be able to see it at all.

This is a cherry which fruits, so can't wait to see if it does this year. It may be too soon, I don't know.

This is my favourite time with the Pieris as the leaves change to all the different colours.

Elaine, I used to label stuff, not so much now as I try to have open containers as I like to have everything to hand so I can see what’s in there and rummage easily, I don’t sort much by colour/ theme or whatever, I just have all my ribbons together, all my buttons in one pot, all my card making stuff in one basket (well it’s actually overflowed to another and the drawers beneath !) etc, etc.
I do really need to have a tidy up though

Lovely photos Susie, I love seeing all the trees and shrubs coming to life.

Beautiful photos. That cherry blossom is gorgeous.
    The Pieris is certainly colourful.

Ellie it will be gorgeous if it produces the fruit it is supposed to.

Alison, our garden seems to be so much later than all of yours, going by the photo's I've seen on here. I thought we'd lost a lot of plants and we have some. My poor Goshiki is dead on one side and not on the other, how does that even happen! I must get a photo and post it, it is very strange.

I hate having to remove boxes which are one on top of another to get to what I want but I've have found a way round this with some of the boxes, I'll have to take a photo.

It is a type of holly Ellie, very prickly leaves. This is how it is supposed to look. I planted it when we had the garden re-vamped a few years ago and it was tiny at the time and it took off. Not too big though because it was a feature plant in a circular border. I suppose it is still a feature if you like looking at half dead shrubs. I sent away to Holland for it but you can get them very easily here now, I think it's an Osmanthus Goshiki and I liked that it is evergreen - it'll be everdead shortly the way it is going.

That’s lovely. Have you tried feeding it. Growmore or something.
Or do you think the frost got to it?

That's only a photo of what it used to look like from a website. The strange thing is it's dying on one side. I think the whole plant will go but one side is completely dead and the other still has leaves on it. The garden is fairly sheltered and the shrub is between the house and the chestnut tree. I've never seen a plant die like this before so I'll take a photo and ask at Burleydam next week.
