Both super photo's Mary, what a contrast from cold to snuggly warm. That is a lot of snow especially when you compare it to ours. It started again this evening.

We've just finished our walk and we've had another light dusting of snow, not sure if this counts as yellow or cold - you choose.

Morning snappers no idea what time it stopped snowing but it was still coming down when I went to bed. Vaguely remember 63 I was in hospital that year and no one got in to visit except my dad he walked from Leeds centre to the hospital which was out at Seacroft so suppose 4/5 miles.

The year after we got married we were snowed in the village we lived in (Jan 87) will see if I can find the photos. I know I scrapped them hubby did scan them but then had an issue with the computer and lost a load.

Heres one for cold my pond

And I can’t find the stopcock

1976 we lived in a village in Dorset we were in a valley and the whole village was snowed in the snow was hedge height we became a real community everyone helping where they could luckily the shop was well stocked and there was a dairy farm so we got fresh milk almost straight from the cow it lasted a week before we could get out of the village I’ll look for the photos when I can get on the laptop

Oh dear Mary, just what you need! Have you turned it off now?

Still freezing here, had another snowfall over night.
Just been to the freezer and it’s packed up working!!
Only had it about 6 yrs and it looks like new!
So we will have to get another one now. I guess I will be cooking meat and chicken today then !!

What pond Sandra? Can’t see one

Oh no Mary hope you got that sorted. Sorry to here about the freezer Ellie, baking for you today.
Thought you might like today's cold picture,it's been like that a couple of days, it had started to slide off when there was a patch of Sun and then froze in position
    A true blanket of snow!
Underneath the duvet of snow are David's precious alpine seeds, cold is very good for them, once we get the warm weather back k they have every chance of germinating

Thanks for that tip Mary. Might try that, although DH is out there now trying to see
if it’s the thermostat that’s not working. If it is he can mend it, hopefully.
    Glad the leak is sorted.
Claire ,that blanket of snow rem8nds me of when you roll out Royal icing for your

I have a hot one knee of my cats pushed as hard as she can onto the radiator it’s a wonder she can stand it as it’s too hot for me to leave my hand there

Sorry Elaine, if it is any comfort to you, I envy your snow, ours has gone again, nothing at all now.

I hope there's nothing living in your pond Sandra, boy that's cold.

Glad you got your bust pipe switched off Mary. We were lucky it was just the joint and was pouring down the grid but it's the trouble of finding the stopcock (that's the word I couldn't think of) and getting it turned off.

Sorry to hear about the freezer Ellie. Topcashback are offering up to 80 cashback if you are buying from Curry's. We missed out on this in December but the offer has just come on again. You have to check your prices though in case you can get the same for a cheaper price elsewhere. If it's a spare part for the thermostat that's needed you're laughing.

Claire that is an amazing photo, it truly is a blanket of snow. Great for the seedlings too, must feel really at home.

Gorgeous photo's of DD's dog Ellie. Love the sunglasses!

Just a couple of quick photo's from me. This bruiser of a cat turned up in our garden, she was after two collared doves which were sitting high up on the fence. Again taken through dirty conservatory window. Now I've noticed what a mess the garden is I've remembered that we have got to place our order for bedding plants and the garden will have a ton of work to do before they arrive but won't even begin until mid-April.
