Hi Sandra. It's very red but the dressing is off now. Thanks for asking. It looks rather like a bad case of eczema now..very red and a but scaly..but no pain now so that's the important bit.

That's good news Elaine hopefully it will soon be healed now. As soon as I click the heating on Bonnie goes in her bed. She also has a self heat mat in there. On a night her and Darcy snuggle up together.
Boy, we’re only two days into March and you lot have been busy chatting haven’t you !!
I’ve had a quick read through, Susie, sounds like you’ve been having pipe adventures ! Hope DH is ok.
Ellie, hope SIL keeps warm.
I think I missed out on the liberty bodice, thankfully ! I do remember using nail varnish on tights though.
Lots of lovely photos, I’ll see what I can do over the weekend.
We’ve been watching a programme about the big freeze of 1963, that was a long winter ! I’m bored with this cold weather already, hope it doesn’t last that long .
Stay safe and warm everyone, have a lovely weekend indoors xx
Missed the bit about liberty bodices I remember having to wear one. Can remember mending tights and stopping them laddering further with nail varnish!!!! My mam used to tell me to wear clean underwear too.
Liberty bodices and stockings with suspenders are before my time too...lol. I did have huge Navy knickers I had to wear for PE though!
Two more photos from earlier today before the latest dump

Oh I remember that winter. It was horrendous. We had to walk into work, to get there
for 7am day shift, because the nurses bus couldn’t get through to pick us up.
It was about a 3 mile hike in the freezing cold, and at the end of the day a weary walk back !
Mind you I was young and daft then , so probably thought it was a laugh

Wow, amazing photo's everyone. I have photo's of 1963 and we had 4 feet drifts of snow outside the house (well, it wouldn't be in the house now would it) and we spent the day playing. Mum would call us in to warm up with hot chocolate or Bovril and then we'd be back out again. As we were walking the dogs last night hubby reminded me how we never seemed to feel the cold when we were young. Snowball fights, soaking wet hands/gloves but we didn't notice the cold.
I was only saying today I hope the livestock are okay, all the sheep in the fields and the cattle. I feel sorry for the wildlife as well. Our birds are well fed anyway.
Lovely photo of you Elaine and your D-I-L and of course Miss A smiling as usual. Glad to hear that her hand is healing, that must have been some scald, bless her.
That is an amazing photo of the icicles Ellie. Yes, I remember in 1963 the sea froze it was so cold and yet they reckon 1947 was the coldest winter. Just found a great photo of Kent on my birthday in '63. That's cold! Oh by the way, not a hint of snow here, it is completely clear.
those icicles are amazing. I was in London in 63 I seemed to remember deep snowdrifts. I also remember 47 being a time of great fun in the snow but I don't remember ever having snow days off from school do you?
I'm running out of photos that I want to scrap. I do have three that will go on one page of Rufus's world book day costume he went as Rufus Skumskin from the Rascally Cake apparently it's one of his favourite books
Love your silvery toes Elaine.
Those icicles look quite prehistoric!
I don’t remember 47, but that was the winter that my brother was born, and
Mom used to tell me how the Doctor couldn’t get to her . Like most babies then, he was born at home.
Luckily the birth went ok.

Elaine, what did I say??? Was it about the photo because I meant it, you look great. I'm like that, wrapped up, woolly hat but with sunglasses, no-one else seems to need them but I do.
Love the toes Elaine, I thought you were protecting them from frostbite! What's the matter, the fire not burning brightly enough for your little doggy, get some wood on it.
Hubby was born in '47. I wish I knew where the photo's of '63 have got to. It is really sad that hubby knows so little of his past. No family to ask and we talk a lot about my family but he knows very little about his in comparison.
I'll send you some to scrap for me Mary, I have 1000's of them to get round to.
Those icicles are amazing, grubby as you say but amazing. I'm loving all these photo's, especially as we have so little snow here. It has been snowing this evening but it is a dusting compared with everyone else. Off out with dogs shortly and by the time we get back it will be hubby's birthday - 71 bless him.
