    Morning ladies,
    Nice yellow photo Mary.
I too remember Liberty bodices. I used to hate the rubber buttons.
When they had been in the wash a few times, they used to go hard and crack!
If that was all I had to worry about these days... I’d be a happy bunny

good morning Snappers, right it's time the snow disappeared I'm tired of it now
I have two disgruntled cats too as they just can't get anywhere to do their business without getting their bums wet

The snow is a no-show for us. It actually snowed all of yesterday but it was so fine it just went into little powdery drifts in the gutter, next to nothing and certainly not worth taking my gloves off to get the camera out to get a photo. It is still very cold though. All the joins in the paving in the front garden had snow in them and hubby thought it looked really nice, which it did. Imagine white grout/sand and cement in the garden.

I would have liked one really snowy day but here it doesn't melt away because the sunlight doesn't get through as I mentioned. One time the roads and paving were frozen for a month and trying to get up the hill was a nightmare. We were driving behind a van and hubby had to keep his distance because the van kept sliding backwards. Then when you finally get to the top and drop down you can be sliding into a busy road.

The worst snow I remember was 1980, even if we could have dug the cars out the roads were impassable. I know what you mean Mary, it's nice but then it becomes tiresome and then you have all the mess afterwards.

It’s so cold here, all the snow is now frozen.
The main roads are clear now though due to the gritters being out.
DH has managed to get out today So that’s good.
Won’t the cats go in a litter tray Mary, at least they wouldn’t get wet

Have had a quick read through, yep I used nail varnish and soap for ladders. when we were little we had liberty bodices. Did you have those gaberdine coats for school that had buttons in the inside bottom half so a quilted lining could be attached in the winter to turn it into a winter coat?.

This is my yellow photo, yellow is my favourite colour and so hubby tries to get a bunch of flowers with lots of yellow ones when he gets them at the supermarket.

Gorgeous flowers Claire. Lovely DH to get them for you

We had navy blue gabardine coats with a belt, which we had to wear, when
    we were
away from the hospital( going to and fro to the nurses home, or into town)
We also had to wear a beret and gloves. Wow betide you if you were caught not wearing
any of the required uniform !

Rather like school wasn't it Ellie. We had the same uniform from the sounds of it with a hat which turned up at the edges, we turned them down into a cloche style hat but woe betide us if we were caught. Just realised we are using the same expressions, must be an age thing!

Well the snow was going until 3.30pm when it started snowing again and has settled yet again. Hubby got home from work ok and were not intending on going anywhere in the car this weekend. Abis run has been cancelled. Heres a couple of photos from me one Hot one cold.

They reckon this weather will carry on into next week, snow isn't going too cold and windy.
Looked through the photos I took yesterday and chose this one for cold, have framed it as it looked a bit insipid as it was

It's been snowing hard here since lunch time today and it's settled again..yuck!
We went out this morning to take DIL to radiotherapy and I looked after Amber while DH took her. It was soooooo dangerous. The ice was so treacherous until we got off these country roads. No gritters here. The closest B road is three miles away so it was very scary driving conditions. I let DH drive as he is, after all, emergency trained for these conditions. Getting home was bad but as it was fresh snow it wasn't as bad as going out.
Nice flowers Claire. Lovey cat photos too ladies.
    Clever yellow light Mary.
Our crop for tomorrow has been cancelled so I plan on having a scrapping day at home tomorrow.
Here's some cold photos, DIL and Miss A out in the cold... Btw.. our little dog is always that close, I'm always having to drag him backwards away from it. He's a proper little fire dog.lol
